Stayed in a 4 star Mercure before and it was a fairly good experience but from the avocado bathroom sink to holes in the black out curtain, it felt very poor. Positives... greeting by receptionist and got to say that was about it. We didnt have any choice of going elsewhere as it was Easter weekend but my goodness, never again. The bedding looked clean but the carpet didnt and the bathroom was very outdated.

We visit a few times a year on our way down to Italy - always a good visit. The only thing you need to change is the pillows please! Have some better ones available….

We liked the hotel and vibe and restaurant and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was a little disappointing re limited coffee and tea options, and no milk. And the shower head had to be held while showering or it pointed at the wall which wasn't ideal (room 209).
