Ok, it is may... even though, with outside temperatures below 10 degrees centigrade it is not acceptable that a hotel with this price does not offer heating in the rooms.

Major building work is currently being carried out, work is from 9am until 6pm, this was not published on the website, there is a lot of noise and dust throughout the hotel. Our first room had a missing panel under the shower, leaving exposed earth cables. Staff agreed to move us but not until the following day. The water was switched off at various times which we weren't told about, again due to the renovation work. The on-site car park is €11 per day, the car park 10ft over the road is €4 per day! Overall, not the usual Ibis experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sincerely sorry for the inconveniences you encountered during your stay. The situation you describe, particularly regarding the noise, dust, water interruptions, and the condition of your initial room, does not reflect the level of service we aim to provide. We fully understand your disappointment. Major renovation works are currently taking place within the hotel, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in order to meet Accor group standards and significantly improve the comfort of our facilities. We acknowledge that this information should have been more clearly communicated prior to your arrival, and we apologize for this oversight. Regarding the room change, we regret that we were unable to offer you an immediate solution and thank you for your understanding. As for the parking, we would like to clarify that the hotel parking is private, secure, and exclusively reserved for our guests, which explains the price difference compared to the nearby public parking. We sincerely hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust during a future stay once the renovations are completed.

The rooms are basic, but very clean. The staff was very friendly and efficient. It is just a short walk to the Cathedral area and shopping/restaurant areas. If you use your lodgings as a base from which to explore, this hotel will work.

A note in the lift warned of the refurbishment work in the hotel, but the smell of fresh paint on the fourth floor -where my room was - was strong. I was also disturbed by traffic noise. I ordered a pizza: although the topping was nice and well cooked, the base was overcooked and mostly black. So plenty that could have been better.
