The stay was wonderful - everything was good just room was slightly dusty and cleaning wasn’t through of first day. However after that it was good and the service was really amazing. Also, I was allowed to order omelette with onions and peppers first two days but after that was told only omelette with cheese or other eggs. The staff on reception and co vowed a d security were really good.

Good overall though we thought the hallways and common areas could be cleaner

Very average. Size of the rooms and comfortable bed were the only positives. Breakfast was appalling and almost inedible. Bar service was terrible, cocktails were below average and when we complained, we were told it was the barman’s day off! Hotel had a terrible smell, it was obviously a problem as air fresheners of varying degrees were abundant. Apart from the doorman, staff were disinterested and bordering on rude. Certainly not in keeping with the Sofitel brand.

Had a relaxing stay at Sofitel Taksim. Great room with a view of the Bosphorus. Only downside was that the windows were not clean and the shower area flooded due to clogged drainage. Aside this a prefect and comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast selection great.

I recently stayed for one night at Sofitel Istanbul and booked a king-size room. Unfortunately, it appeared that the king-size bed had been created by joining two separate beds together. room 919 .The gap and seam in the middle of the bed were extremely noticeable and uncomfortable, forcing me to sleep squeezed onto one side of the bed throughout the night. This significantly affected the quality of my stay and was quite disappointing, as it is not something I would expect from a hotel of this standard.
