We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel Taksim. It was very well located and the service was excellent. We upgraded to a suite at a good price as our room was free as part of the Turkish Airlines promotion so we enjoyed the extra space and luxury of the suite. However, the bed was a queen size bed in what was a king size space, so I had to reach a long way to reach the bedside table. My husband felt like he was going to fall out of his side of the bed. The breakfast was also a little chaotic with a limited range of cereals. We found the food and drinks in the restaurant to be very expensive.

No value for money overrated hotel the room are are dark coloured furniture old bed comforting and size not even of 3 star hotels standard never go to taksim sofitel again even the properties of Accor group much better in india and their customers relationship.the Turkish staff even don’t know the other languages even a little English sorry very disappointed with the Sofitel taksim.

Loved our stay at the Sofitel, took advantage of a suite upgrade which was incredible. The male check in staff member was incredible. Unfortunately the other front office staff weren’t so good and they tried to charge a fee for early check in which was never requested. This was overturned by a senior manager thank heavens

Hotel is well located, but very noisy. Concierge service is excellent. I was disappointed by the rooms attribution when I arrived I was given a room with views on airconditions on roofs although I paid for a Bosphorous view& changed my room to the one On paid for. This happened again for a 2 prestigious suite nights with demands on Bosphorus view. Again airconditions view on top of buildings. Breakfast was huge with everything you need. Lounge was good. Rooms were very clean and room service was excellent

I booked a Luxury Room, King Bed with Bosphorus View, but was given a room that looked nothing like the photos in the app and was much smaller. When I raised it the next day, I was moved to a larger room, but it still did not match what I had booked. The overall feeling was one of carelessness, and I did not feel valued as a guest. Given the very high price, this was very disappointing, especially since hotels of a similar standard in the same area cost much less.

The Sofitel Istanbul is a fantastic hotel and we truly enjoyed our stay. The location could hardly be better, with everything easily accessible, and the overall atmosphere, comfort and quality are exactly what you would expect from Sofitel. The staff were welcoming and professional, the room was very comfortable, and breakfast offered an excellent selection. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and a hotel we would happily return to. There are just a few small details that could make the experience even better. For a five-star hotel, we were a little surprised that the room did not have a bathtub. There was also no electrical outlet in the bathroom suitable for using a hair dryer, which would be a practical addition. At breakfast, hot drinks could also be made more easily accessible. Having coffee/tea machines directly in the buffet area would allow guests to prepare their own hot drinks whenever they wish, particularly during busy morning periods. These are only minor improvement points and did not take away from an otherwise excellent stay. Sofitel Istanbul remains a fantastic hotel, with a superb location and a very high overall standard.

I was called from reception at 12pm to remind me about check out, I advised the gentleman that I will check out at 2pm, at 1:30pm, a gentleman came to my room and informed me again and I advised him I will leave now. I was in the lobby at 2pm and left the room together with the luggage porters, the lady at reception stated that due to a non-physical check out, I have to pay €113. They refused to release my bags and demanded payment. I requested a recording copy of the call to my room and she advised that recordings are not available. A PBX call system has to have recording !!! Further I was advised that there is no ON-DUTY MANAGER. How can a mega operation not have a duty manager ? This is very disappointing for such a corporate brand! I will never book an ACCOR affiliated hotel again. I am a diamond status member with Hilton and I will remain with them. Not to mention I was publicly embarrassed and argued with In front of other guests

Great hotel at extremely convenient Taksim Square. Our front desk staff İlknur helped us with smooth check-in&out experience and gave us a lot of advice for the destination, also helped us picked a lovely room. A great example for Live a French Zest and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Terrible check in, arrived 12 pm,as Gold and explorer member we didn't receive any early check in. Room got ready till 3 pm and no one even notified us and only after few calls and enquiries we were told key u s ready but they were busy to notify us. Breakfast very average, ciffee machine was broken down, resturant and bar service was poor.. we waited 20 mins in bar and no body took our order even after giving us the m enue so we left and no one asked why. There is a problem in management level and no monitoring of junior staff with no experience in hotel and hospitality industry with no proper training and supervision. Could hear noise from street ,woke up every day at 5 am. In positive side: good location ,right on Taksim square, easy to access to metro, ferry to beat traffic Rooms very spacious ,modern and clean. We changed our rooms after 2 days to 2 bedroom unit and that was huge,double story with massive living area ,great for us as family of 5 and it was the same price as 2 separate rooms. Over all I wouldn't stay more than 2 nights here and will stay in Bosphur side hotels. Also lobby was small and boring. Overall not meeting expectation for 5 star hotel and sofitel service.

1. Service slow, unfriendly and sloppy. 2. Buffet breakfast again in comparison to other Sofitel with considerably poorer with much less variety and staff were disinterested to assist. 3. In general the Staff, or at least the majority of them were equally disinterested around the hotel and would not make any attempts to come and assist even though they could see you were requesting it 4. Room service was slow and I had to repeatedly ask for services to be provided often three times before anything was done okay? 5. Staff should be better trained in English as obviously you receive a lot of foreign tourists 6. Your club Millisieme was also very poorly resource with limited choices as was the buffet I mentioned above.

Slightly problematic with multiple issues with the room that needed rectification including a faulty fridge and TV. Not ideal for a night stay. Final bill included charges that I don’t recognise and haven’t been able to get an explanation. Overall higher charges than expected at checkin.

We stayed at Sofitel Istanbul Taksim for five days and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very comfortable, perfectly located, and the staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. All our requests were taken into account, and we felt very well looked after throughout our stay. A special thank you to the blond gentleman whom we often saw at the reception — I believe his name was Ochun or Okhan, unfortunately I don’t remember exactly. He was incredibly helpful and helped us resolve every issue and difficulty we had. Many thanks to him and to the entire hotel team for making our stay so pleasant. We would be happy to come back!

Great location, nice suites with clean comfortable furniture. Nice plush towels and toiletries. But I can't say the same about level of service provided. Breakfast was OK but nothing to write home about. Good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the lounge but I can't say the same about the quality of the food provided( probably a 3 out of 10). In-door pool was very nice but we were told we had to wear a cap that we had no problem with but no one else in the pool had a cap on. When I mentioned that to the young lady she said they got a one time exception not wear a cap. I had paid the regular price for a suite with breakfast and lounge. At the time of the check in I was told they've upgraded us to a suite in the second floor. When we got to our suite we basically had the view of the surrounding building roofs and some water so I don't know what type of upgrade was that specially when I had paid the full regular price. The night before our arrival I received an email that I had to approve one night deposit charged to my credit card when I had paid for the entire stay on the phone when I made my reservation in US. After I got the email I replied and asked then to do what they needed to do but they never responded back to me that created another set of issues for us. To make the story short, we were planning to stay another 6 nights but we decided to move to CVK Hotel after our three nights was up.
