The location was very convenient, and the room was perfect. The welcome and service were excellent from the moment we arrived. The Customer Guest Manager, Zeynep, was very helpful and professional, as were the front desk staff. The food and breakfast were amazing. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

I stayed at Swissôtel from the 3rd–11th of March while visiting Istanbul for surgery, and I am incredibly grateful that I chose such a wonderful hotel to support me during my recovery. My recovery had a significant impact on my ability to do even normal things. I had rib damage which made it very painful to move or even sit comfortably. During such a difficult time, the hotel and its staff made a huge difference to my experience. The room had a perfect view of the sea, the food — although I could not taste much due to my surgery — was incredible, and the staff’s kindness and attention to detail were beyond anything I have experienced in other five-star hotels. I was in a very vulnerable position: travelling alone, in a foreign country where not everyone speaks English (my only language), undergoing surgery and recovering afterwards. Your staff made me feel welcome and, most importantly, cared for when I truly needed it. They helped me with pillows so I could sleep upright comfortably (including a neck support which felt like a gift from God), assisted with pharmacy orders so I didn’t need to leave my room, brought hot water bottles to ease my aching body — often without me even asking. They found a vase for the flowers I received, and with my permission entered my room for service so I wouldn’t need to get out of bed, which was extremely difficult. They also helped when I had trouble paying for taxis as I had brought no cash and the driver would not accept cards, supported me when I returned from surgery feeling very fragile, allowed me a later checkout as my flight was late, and even arranged for me to sit in a quiet private spot in the restaurant as the main area was too loud and I did not want to be seen in the condition I was in. There were also so many small thoughtful gestures — bringing tissues when my nose was running, unlimited ice to help with swelling, and many other little acts of kindness that I may not even remember now. Without this level of support during such a fragile time, my recovery and my experience in Istanbul would have been very different. I am extremely grateful and look forward to returning to the hotel one day when I am visiting under happier and healthier circumstances. I would also like to recognise the staff members who went above and beyond for me. I hope they receive the recognition they truly deserve: Melek – Executive Lounge Emen – Restaurant Adnan – Restaurant Ozgwr – Housekeeping Gokay – Bellman Esra – Front of House Laureta – Guest Relations Guest Relations Manager (whose name I unfortunately did not catch) All of those in the concierge team (the WhatsApp is a brilliant way to communicate) There was also a very kind gentleman on the bellman team when I first arrived who helped when I was unable to pay for my taxi. I had mistakenly brought no cash or cards, the driver spoke little English, and he would not accept card payment. This gentleman stepped in, spoke with the driver, paid the fare in cash for me, and charged it to my room. I unfortunately did not catch his name, but I believe he may be related to Gokay (perhaps a brother-in-law). His kindness truly saved me from a very stressful situation, and I am incredibly grateful. Thank you again to everyone who made such a difficult moment in my life so much easier. Your care, kindness, and professionalism will always stay with me.
