**Experience of a 4-day stay at Mercure Istanbul Bomonti Hotel in the Bomonti neighborhood of Istanbul** **Cons:** - Most staff members are not friendly and often do not greet or speak politely. - The hotel does not provide adequate slippers for multiple days of stay, including suitable slippers for showering and moving around the room. - There is a lot of noise from the staff in the hallways during the day, which disturbs the guests. They do not make an effort to keep their voices down. - For someone with a height of 175 cm, the height of the toilet is too high, which is above the standard and can cause discomfort. - The pool is more for display; during our stay, it was said to be out of order. The person in charge of the pool and massages, a bearded middle-aged man, is very rude and impolite, answering questions in a hostile manner. - There are many small children among the guests, which can be problematic if you are disturbed by noise, especially during breakfast. - The rooms have air conditioning but no air purifiers. The air conditioning is outdated and does not shut off automatically. It can get very cold, and there is no remote control; you have to turn it on and off manually from the wall. - When we first entered the room, there was a strong sewage smell, which was alleviated by opening the windows over time. It seems the sewage system has issues, as it smells after a few hours of non-use, but the smell disappears with use. **Pros:** - The hotel is in a great location, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and anything you might need. - The hotel is clean, and hygiene is well-maintained throughout the hotel and rooms. Cleaning staff do a great job daily, and the lobby and elevators are clean. - The rooms are larger than the standard size in other hotels, which is a plus. - Breakfast is organized, suitable, and clean, and it is served daily. - The hotel's public relations manager, Ms. Atousa, is a gem. She addresses any issues with a friendly attitude, adding significant value to the hotel. - The hotel's free Wi-Fi is excellent and has a very good speed. - The hotel is quiet at night with minimal traffic. - The hotel's shower system and cleaning supplies are adequate. **Conclusion:** I definitely recommend this hotel. My rating is 3 out of 5. I believe the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages, and the cons are solvable. I hope this review helps you in your decision-making.

Don’t book this hotel if you want a pace of mind. I am staying here for 8 nights. Very poor customer service. The staff in general especially the night shift receptionist and breakfast staff need a course in customer service. One of the breakfast staff told me I don’t care when I asked them to help me to carry the tea cups few times. Food in the breakfast is horrible. They don’t give an iron to be forced to use their own ironing service. They don’t give water during the night to be forced to use their restaurant. Breakfast is very poor quality for a five star hotel. Cheese was clearly old and recycled ones. To be honest if I had a flexible booking I would have cancelled the remaining nights in my booking. It might be slightly cheaper than other options but this is at price of being distressed about the service.

Do not choose this hotel at all.

Awful. It is more like a three star hotel. I don't know who gave this hotel 5 stars and how they got these five stars. They do not have enough personnel to do the work. There was a problem with the entry card to the room from the moment I entered, and even on the fourth day, in the evening, when I went to the door of the room tired from outside, the entry card did not work. I went to the reception twice and the problem was not solved. I am writing this review now. I have been sitting in the corridor for about an hour, but the technical officer has not responded to solve the problem. Hygiene is very poor. Do not choose this hotel at all.

It's more like a 3 or at the best 4 star hotel. Poor Internet connection. Lack of basic facilities such as toothbrush and toothpaste! The pool was as small as a tub! They didn't even have staff to carry the luggages! I can go on and talk about every aspect, It's like a joke and I don't know why this Hotel is considered 5 star?!

Joelyouknowwell Business - TripAdvisor review

Reception was moderate and service level okay. However additional service in main restaurant (empty). The grill restaurant connected is from separate owners. Bit strange set up and not customer oriented. Also as dedicated Accor member (platinum) no points are added even if 3 reminders are send.
