Stayed here a couple of times now. Convenient for city centre attractions and public transport to other attractions / beach etc. Always received good customer service from the staff.

Booked my stay about six months in advance instead of getting a good deal I got punished with a considerable higher price then if booked a few weeks or even the same day as checkin. When asking about this and also adding an extra day to my stay they more than once tried to make me pay more than what was the going rate in their own app. Upon arrival they had problems finding my extra booking. They had changed the breakfast hours (that was one of the reasons for the booking) The heating in the room was turned off so the room was freezing (12°C), didn't manage to get the temp up to 20°C until day three and only response I got when telling about it was the offer of an extra blanket. WiFi had bad coverage/speed and a new, even worse than before, sign-in portal making it impossible to use your own router. Room hasn't aged well, way to big of a difference in just a year. Breakfast thas earlier years have been tremendous was a let down with empty trays, cold hot food and less to choose from. Their policy on late checkout is still ridiculous. You can't request it until close to checkout so you have to pack your stuff and be ready to go incase you're denied it, so no lazy mornings. And they had the stomach to charge me €30 for it... The location is sadly the only good part for me of once a great hotel. Ibis in general all over Europe have had a negative trend in these last years, they seem to try to find the lowest level they can go to before people complaining to much.

Regarding the price difference you noticed, hotel rates can fluctuate depending on demand and availability, and sometimes last-minute offers may appear lower than earlier bookings. That said, I’m sorry if the process of adding an extra night felt confusing or if the rates offered did not match what you saw in our app. This is certainly not the experience we want our guests to have. I also sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered on arrival with locating your additional reservation, as well as the change in breakfast hours not being communicated clearly in advance. Your comments about the room temperature are especially concerning — a room at 12°C is far from acceptable, and we regret that the response you received did not resolve the situation quickly. Your feedback about the Wi-Fi system, the condition of the room, and the breakfast service has been shared with the relevant teams so we can review and improve these areas. We’re also sorry that the late check-out policy caused frustration during your stay. It is disappointing to hear that we did not live up to the positive experiences you had with us in the past. Guest feedback like yours is extremely important, and we will use it to review our procedures and service levels. This is my third time staying at this hotel. The rooms are very basic, so don’t expect much. In the bathroom there is only soap provided, along with just two towels. The room temperature is on the cold side, and the central heating doesn’t blow enough hot air to properly warm the room. As a result, it’s a bit uncomfortable to stay out of bed. If you are a Gold member like me, you may receive an upgrade to a premium room, but the only real benefits are a coffee machine and a pair of slippers. Overall, the added value is limited. On the positive side, the price is competitive compared to other properties in the area. However, I will likely try a different hotel next time.
