We stayed at this hotel for convenience to the city centre we found the staff not that helpful. We were told upon arrival, help yourself to tea, coffee and water in the foyer. But there was no milk when I enquired about milk they said they don’t do milk so what is the point in having tea and coffee? We tried to use the restaurant but because I don’t eat beef I asked for the chicken to be put with the beef dish instead of the beef, but was told there was no way they could do that, so I gather it’s just a microwave meal instead of any chef being on site. The hotel itself seemed clean. Our room was clean, but there were lots of scuffs and marks on the walls which made it look scruffy, along with holes in the curtains. The room was so warm there was no air-conditioning so we had to sleep with our room window/door open, we overlooked a small courtyard in the centre of the hotel which is just off the restaurant which is a smoking area. I’m so glad because of the time of the year nobody was using it otherwise we would have been able to smell smoke in our room and the noise would have be terrible. We were also rudely awoken by another resident at 6 am standing on the balcony smoking and using their mobile phone on speakerphone. And you could also hear loud people in their rooms. If I was to stay there again, I would prefer a room overlooking the road rather than the internal rooms. But I don’t think if I was going back to Zürich again, I would choose to stay there.

Simple, no frills hotel but comfortable. Its about 5-7mins walk from Zurich HB and 15-20mins to Old town. Quiet surroundings. The only thing that would have been helpful is if they provided water in the room. In their case, you had to have your own bottle and refill at the reception area.
