Good price for Zurich. Happy hour at Novotel bar bit misleading - only Monday & Thursday nights a bit lousy.

I have been staying in this hotel from last 20 years and never it has been such a poor quality staff. First of all being Gold Member nothing was ready and it took them more then 45 minutes to get the check in done. You have made a common desk for Novotel and Ibis but then you need to have proper and sufficient staff. On top of the waiting even the check in was taking too much of time. forget about the welcome drink etc.

1. Very noisy - extremely poor sound insulation in the rooms, you can hear everything your neighbours do in all the rooms around you. There should be carpets instead of hard floors as you can hear all the suitcases, chairs being moved around, etc. at any time of day and night... 2. 50 chf parking fees for 2 nights, you've got to be joking!!! 25 chf per night in the hotel parking lot which is the Accor hotels parking lot, not even a Zurich city parking. It's frankly a scam. How can you justify charging your own clients 50 chf to park their car for two nights??? You don't even offer a discounted rate for more than 1 night. A disgrace. 3. The shower head didn't work properly in our bathroom, it was stuck in the corner of the shower and impossible to turn in your direction, the water went directly on to the shower wall so in the end you had to hold the shower head in your hand the whole time. 4. The hotel corridors were quite dirty when we arrived, crumbs and dust everywhere. And the carpets in the corridors need a good clean. They look really tired/run down. 5. No USB socket in the bedroom which is kind of a shame in late 2024. A full-fledged renovation of the rooms including sound insulation is badly needed! I have stayed at multiple Ibis Budget hotels that were much better insulated, cleaner, with great showers and much more comfortable than this standard (supposed to be more upmarket?) Ibis one - with overnight parking that cost only 10chf ! So clearly there is something wrong here.

- Good location, close to station, migros and coop (local supermarket close by), bar is quite nice (casual - I liked the Aperol spritz) - Good welcome gift, hand written letter was nice - Not so good room composition (ex. paid mini bar?? what is this) But overall not too bad - Very limited things but I generally liked it - Unacceptable hair dryer. I have never seen that kind.
