I’m celiac, and GF bread at breakfast was just packed together with normal bread: this is unacceptable ignorance in regards of basic food contamination! Shower handle was lose, always falling down!! How could room service not detect such evident issue?? Just 2 towels for all!! First hotel ever down to such a low standard. Wi-Fi was not working, even after trying 5 different codes together with the service desk.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the bed was terrible.

I asked when booking and when checking in not to be close to the elevator as during a last stay the noise of the elevator bothered me. What do I discover when I arrive ? I have one of the rooms that is the closest to the elevator. Was too tired to go back down... Also the ventilation in the room was too loud especially on the last night (although i did not change the temperature of the room) Otherwise it was ok.

I am really sorry that this has partially spoiled your impression of our hotel. The renovation team has strict time constraints as to when more loud works can be done during the week so as to disturb our guests as little as possible. noisy with jack hammers in the morning

We’ve stayed in ibis hotels around the world, the standard can differ greatly - this one in Zurich was quite new, clean and comfortable. The parking service offered was very good and convenient. But the breakfast was unacceptable - it was one of the worst we had in any accommodation ever. It’s year 2020, and you don’t give ANY vegetables, not one? The staff was kind enough to bring us something extra, too bad it turned out to be an unripe tomato and a bit of raw zucchini... we don’t eat much meat, but if you do, you won’t get any in this hotel, except maybe for some cheap ham. Forget sausages or bacon. There were scrambled eggs that stunk, hard boiled eggs of unknown origin... for 16 francs a person we were concerned if we won’t get food poisoning. We ended up stuffing ourselves with bread, as it seemed the only safe thing on the menu.

Situated in a quiet zone, not far from the center (30 in walk), or 10 minutes by public transport. Hotel very much in line with Ibis quality standards, except drinks at the bar: very low quantity served, poor quality wine.

A good hotel with quite good price! The reception quite good and the room absolutely perfect! Very clean! The breakfast was very good with many options of food! The hotel also has parking, but the 25 Swiss Franks that we gave for the parking of the car, for only one night was a little bit expensive...

What instigated the terrible rating about this hotel is as follows: What kind of establishment does refurbishments drilling and such on the same floors as where guests are staying! Further to that, I left the room in the morning, came back a few hours later, found out workers had entered my room to remove a piece of furniture, threw all my things on the ground!! Aside from that, staff are extremely rude. At the restaurant, the waitress was looking at me like I didn't belong, in a "why are you making me work by being here?" kind of way. Do something Accor, replace management. I'm never staying at an ibis again. Cancelling my loyalty card.

I am deeply sorry about this disappointing experience and I can of course very well understand your irritation. We are indeed in a renovation phase and had to face some delay in the delivery of some elements in the room. The missing elements were installed this week. Although we tried our utmost to limit the disturbance for our in-house guests, it seems that it was not handled properly in your case. Be assured that your complaint have been shared with the renovation team on site and this should not occur again. I am also deeply sorry to read your remark about our service team in the restaurant. This is not at all the type of service that we are used to provide in our hotel. I have shared your comment with the person at stake to avoid any future similar situation. During this trip we stayed at the Ibis Zurich City West on 19-22 December 2019 and on 1-6 January 2020. This Ibis is a great hotel so there is not so much to improve here - but I can mention one thing: For me - being an Ibis customer since 1995 - a real Ibis Breakfast is not complete without the traditional and classic French “Pain au Chocolate” - which is always present at almost all Ibis Hotels' breakfasts – but not at this Ibis Hotel. A few other comments of mine are: Of our total 8 days at this Ibis – the first day there were no boiled eggs at all for breakfast and the next two days the eggs were boiled rock-hard with greenish yolk for aprox. 12 minutes (not so tasty) – but during the last 5 days the boiled eggs were boiled yummy every day with creamy yolk for aprox. 6 minutes - which I found excellent. Two different chefs I presume - the second one being excellent. The first room we had (19-22 December) was OK but the second room we had was considerably better (room 204 on 1-6 January) because it also had bed-tables which the first room lacked and the closet was a fixed one and in the first room it was one on wheels. Environmental Door-Cards: This idea is great and we have used it frequently. The only difficulty with this system at this Ibis is that the trash-cans in the rooms are so small that they fill up very quickly which makes one feel the need for the cleaning-service more often because one has to leave trash outside the trash-can too which does not feel very hygienic. At many other Ibis Hotels the trash-cans are at least four times bigger than at this Ibis (for example Cancun and Mazatlan) and thus this pro-environmental system would be even better if these other mega-sized Ibis trash-cans were used in the rooms instead of the tiny ones because with a big trash-can one could easily go without cleaning for a week without much suffering at all. The heating stopped working in the morning of January 6 - in room 204.

With regards to the layout of our rooms, I checked your two reservations and could see that you were staying on the first time in one of our newly renovated rooms (at the time of your stay we had unfortunately a delay in the delivery of our bedside tables - the issue being now solved) and once in our soon-to-be renovated rooms. Your comment about the environment card is really relevant. Thank you for your input on that. Thank you once again for having taken the time to share all of this with us.
