Basic hotel with a great location, but best suited for average-sized guests

I had booked a twin room, but the bed was too short—only 190 cm. The elevator capacity was ridiculously small. I’m a big guy, but even together, my friend and I don’t weigh anywhere near the 300 kg limit the elevator supposedly had. Still, we couldn’t use the elevator at the same time with our luggage (just carry-on bags). The hotel has a good location, close to Gare du Nord, where the train from CDG airport arrives. The breakfast was pretty basic, but the freshly squeezed orange juice was a pleasant surprise.

Stayed for 3 nights and was very satisfied. The hotel has no facilities such as a bar or restaurant but there are many places withing a few metres. The room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom, although very small was quite adequate. The breakfast was excellent with cold meats and cheese along with pastries, bread, cereals, jam etc. There was also the ability to boil eggs and make toast. Gard de L'Est was less than a 5 minute walk away and from there it is possible to go to all the landmarks of Paris via the metro or regional railway. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a well located budget hotel.

The road where the hotel is located feels a bit dodgy, but it’s very well connected, with a metro station less than a few minutes’ walk away and within walking distance from the main train station. So overall, the location worked well for us. Breakfast was good too, with nice bread, pastries, cheese, ham, and eggs—everything we wanted was there. The room was a decent size, and the bed was comfortable. However, our bedsheet had a stain, so we asked for it to be changed before heading out. The receptionist assured us it would be done, but when we returned late, tired from a day of walking, the sheets were still the same. We had to go downstairs, request new sheets, and change them ourselves. The overall experience would have been good if the bedding had been clean.

Hotel with the feeling of a Youth Hostel....

My review was deleted so thought to write one here. The Hotel has the feeling of a Youth Hostel and staff that are similar (hard to get a smile or interaction with them... not the usual hotel staff...) The room was small...the bathroom even smaller - barely enough room to use the toilet! Broken features were: - Table lights - Aircon The Breakfast was fairly basic It won't be on my list of places to stay in Paris... Avoid

the hotel is well located. Breakfast was reasonable. room size was okay for a city hotel but bathroom is too small and inconvenient. would have prefer tea/coffee making facility in the room.
