I am going to try to use the sandwich technique for feedback, but it will be difficult. The bed was comfy. The hotel is advertised as wheelchair accessible. It is not. The hotel has a step entry. A ramp was provided to access the hotel from the road on arrival but when I tried to reenter later on there was a car parked in front charging its battery at a charging point in front of the hotel. I had to get out of my chair and my husband with the help of a staff member had to lift up my chair and then help me up the step which was difficult. There was usually a car parked out of the front making wheelchair access to the hotel impossible. I booked a wheelchair accessible room through the Accor website which cost more than a standard double room. The room I got was not wheelchair accessible. When I checked in, the man on reception did not have the courtesy to inform me that there were no wheelchair accessible rooms available and that my room was a small inaccessible room. I couldn’t get my wheelchair into the bathroom at all and there was a large step up into the shower. There were no handrails for the toilet and the room was so small that I could not even turn around in my wheelchair. I asked for a shower chair and was not provided one. To access the room from reception, I had to carefully manoeuvre around piled up suitcases in the hallway, which fell down when I passed. The TV did not work despite attempts from the Receptionist to fix it. When I went for breakfast the following morning, I was told that the Lift was not working and I could not get down the stairs to breakfast. Why wasn’t I informed about this earlier? I paid extra to have a 9 am check-in. We got there and the room was not ready. The man on reception didn’t know how long it would take for the room to get ready and said he would ring when it was ready and it took hours. We went off exploring and didn’t return to the hotel until the afternoon. I asked for a refund of the money I paid for the early check-in. The man on reception on the last day said he would talk to his manager and of course we heard nothing further. The yellow paint and tattoo cartoon on the bedroom wall was akin to putting lipstick on a pig. The paint was bubbling off on a section of the wall in the bedroom. There were cracks in tiles in the shower. There was a small hole in the wall opposite the bed which looked like it could’ve had a camera in it, but hopefully didn’t. The shower pressure was good.
