I felt validated by the attention and care I received from the Staff in the Mercure Hotel. From the Manager Nathalie Hardy to the Front Desk, English speaking, Staff: Arnoud, Habib, and David. They made sure I received everything I needed, as places to see, in Paris, places to eat, help with transportation, and orientation how to navigate my visit in Paris. Arnoud, always with a big smile and attentive, took time to come to my room and give me a light blanket besides providing me with valorous information, including how to see the Louis Vuitton Foundation. The Breakfast was Great! David, in the Kitchen, was always a plus. Pleasant and ready to serve a delicious "cafe' au lait". The room was clean and well taken care of.

Our second stay in this Paris neighbourhood, and it’s always great. Close to many excellent restaurants, cafes and boulangeries. For Paris, the room size was quite large, so it was a comfortable stay for two people. Our room didn’t have a fridge, which was disappointing as we enjoy purchasing local produce and beverages and keeping them cold. The check in was also a little disappointing as we arrived a few hours early from a long international flight from Australia to drop our bags off and ask the staff if it would be at all possible to receive an early check in as we would love to get in the room, have a shower and few minutes to relax, however they just re-iterated the check in was at 2pm and no earlier and make no attempt to assist. After a little pressing they said maybe come back at 1pm and try again, so we left and returned just after 1pm and it wasn’t ready. We did eventually get in just before 2pm where I received acknowledgment of my Gold Status (essentially a thank you), only to then follow it up by saying that they couldn’t give me an upgrade and so our room wouldn’t have a fridge, not did I receive any other amenity or acknowledgment. The bar area downstairs was nice too, and a good place to relax. Overall a comfortable stay in a nicely renovated hotel, in a location I really like.
