Hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from Gare l'Est. All Hotel Staff was very friendly and helped with questions and needs. The room is on the smaller side, but for our needs was just fine. There were only French, English and one Japanese TV channel - no German ARD/ZDF, but due to the Olympics we kind of understood the French commentary :D Small Breakfast buffet had everything we needed from bread, cold cuts, some English breakfast options, cakes, fruits and so on - it was great!

We stayed for 2 nights in Mercure Paris Opera Grands Boulevards. Room is tiny but enough for the weekend. Completety renovated, clean and calm although in direction to the front road with cafe's and restaurants. Breakfast is in -1. Choice superb (really like how Mercure improved on variety and local sourcing) and staff super friendly and helpful. Location perfect to variety of Metro lines. We will come back.

I felt the staff was great However I could not change the tv to English setting due to that feature being disabled
