I’ve stayed at 50+ Ibis hotels over the last 20 years and I have to say that ibis Styles Paris Gar d’lest Chateau London was rather disappointing. I usually book via Hotels.com but on this occasion I booked directly with Accor. 1. The hotel needs a BIG renovation. The room looks and feels ‘dated’ 2. The bathroom had poor lighting. It was way too dark 3. The mattress cover kept sliding in the middle of the night 4. There was NO ROOM SAFE. Without that I won’t be returning 5. At your other Ibis hotels there is a room safe OR I can leave my valuables at reception. This wasn’t an option at this Ibis hotel. Neither option was available 6. The room look dreary and had only one small picture on the wall. It was like a prison cell On the positive side, your staff was friendly. The WiFi connection was good. The breakfast buffet was 6/10. The room was quiet. And to be honest, those were the only positives. Overall, I’d give my 5 nights a 5/10. Improvement needed. (provide a room SAFE!! This is 2026!!)

I overall found my stay to be satisfactory, especially due to its excellent location. The hotel is conveniently situated just a few steps away from a metro station, which made getting around the city very easy and efficient. However, I would like to highlight an incident that occurred on my last morning. At around 5:00 AM, a loud fire alarm went off, waking all guests. Unfortunately, there was no announcement or guidance provided at the time, and when I went down to the reception area, there were no staff members present to assist or inform guests about the situation. After the alarm stopped, I approached a member of the breakfast staff, who kindly explained (in French) that the alarm had likely been triggered by someone smoking in the hallway, and that this had apparently happened before. While I appreciate his effort to communicate despite the language barrier, it would have been reassuring to receive clear instructions from hotel staff during the incident—particularly regarding whether it was safe to return to our rooms. While I understand that such situations can occur, I believe that improved communication and staff presence during emergencies would significantly enhance guest safety and comfort. Aside from this issue, my stay was pleasant, and I hope this feedback can help improve future guest experiences.

Great location close to public transport to access all areas of Paris. However there is lots of room for improvement with the furnishings of room. Breakfast was basic but adequate, overall would stay here again good value for money.

This hotel was disappointing for the 3rd level of Ibis and did not offer value for money. The receptionists were a little terse at times. Our allocated room was on the 2nd floor. You could feel the vibration and hear the metro below. A plug in radiator was provided as the air con did not work and so we complained and s were moved to 5th floor. The new bedroom was much nicer but the bathroom was not! 1. The shower was in a bath with all sloping sides making washing uncomfortable. Getting in the bath was difficult and getting out especially so, even dangerous on a wet surface. Please rip out the bath and replace with a decent shower. 2. There was a lack of lighting making the room very dark. I wet shave, my wife uses contact lenses. Both activities were very difficult in the gloom. It requires a minimum of 2 more downlights, one over the sink and one in the bath / shower. 3. During this holiday we have stayed in Ibis Budget, Ibis and Ibis Styles. With one exception (Troyes I. Budget) all have a plumbing problem. The water temperature varies extremely in the shower. If you set it to a nice temperature it either gets extremely hot or very cool depending on exactly where you set it initially. This temperature variation happens about every 3 / 4 minutes making showering a lottery.... Come on Accor, it needs sorting!! On the positive side the pillows and duvet were nice and the bed very comfortable.

Considering this is Paris, the hotel offers a good stay. The location is very convenient: a 10-minute walk from Gare du Nord and just 5 minutes from Gare de l'Est. You can reach the Louvre in 35 minutes on foot or 15 minutes by metro (Château Landon station is very close). The immediate area felt safe, though it can get a bit "sketchy" closer to the east station. There is also a small supermarket nearby. The staff were polite and welcoming. Our room was on the top floor; it could use some cosmetic touch-ups, but it was comfortable enough for a few days with a small family. Aside from typical city noise, we had no issues. The room featured a bathtub, Smart TV, and satisfactory Wi-Fi. Breakfast was a "cold" buffet (the only hot option being boiled eggs), but it was quite good: fresh pastries, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, and some fruits/veggies, along with decent machine coffee. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.
