Overall, a good and stereotypical experience: location is really convenient, breakfast was nice, rooms are great for families travelling with children. Check-in appeared bureaucratically inefficient (it seemed they had to process all information that I had already provided during the online check-in) and the front desk receptionist knew just enough English to give directions to the lift and to our room (the EU exist for about 30 years now, but the French still haven't accepted that French is not the 'linga franca' (how ironic) of Europe; my 10-year-old child knows more English then the receptionist...)

Right around the corner from Gare de l'Est ! Ten people: two adults and eight teenagers traveling for an exchange program. The staff was very gracious and could not have been more helpful, helping us with our luggage. The rooms and showers were clean and comfortable. I will go back !

Stayed for the weekend with family in three rooms. Rooms were all clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Small and basic, for sure, but adequate. Arrived quite late at night. Reception was very welcoming and helpful. Lots of places to eat very close by. Overall, absolutely no complaints, and would stay again if we wanted a hotel near Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est. That said, one word of caution - there are at least three Ibis hotels in the area with very, very similar names. Be VERY careful if you're using Google to navigate you to your hotel or you could end up visiting more Ibis hotels than you really want to. Special shout-out to the late-night receptionist it the "Ibis *Style* Paris Gare de l'Est TGV", who walked us across the road to the correct hotel.
