The check in staff were extremely welcoming and accomodating when we arrived early and were able to leave our suitcases until the check in time. The standard room was small but we knew this when we booked, the beds were very comfortable and bathroom was clean and a good size. The breakfast was very nice, with fresh fruits, cheese, bread etc and certainly set us up for a day of exploring. Location was easy for us to get to the metro and other train lines - would definitely stay again

Nadia was so rude. ...showing a lack of empathy toward the customer. I arrived at the hotel early—having traveled from Washington, D.C. due to a family emergency—and I understand that a fee may apply for early arrival; I paid €20 to check in an hour and a half ahead of schedule, Even though I had already checked in online—and I told her so. However, when I asked Nadia for just a few more minutes—specifically one extra hour—to finish packing my bags at my checkout moment, she told me she would charge me another €20. I explained that I only needed the time to finish packing because my train was leaving soon, but her response was simply, "That’s the policy." I declined, and I essentially ended up finishing packing my bags out on the street. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years in USA and the level of customer service Nadia provided was the worst I have ever seen. A total disappointment.

I had a very enjoyable stay here with my 14-year-old son during our holiday I. Paris. The location was excellent and very convenient for getting around the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the room was comfortable. The air conditioning was particularly welcome during the August heatwave and worked extremely well. We were very pleased with our stay and would happily return.

However, there is a need to improve on the exterior surroundings' cleanliness because of the unpleasant odours emanating from the external street walls of the building. Also, the wardrobes are ok but the openings need to be more flexible so that it is easy to store big luggage inside.

The bed was comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently located close to several train stations. The room was quite small, but that was expected. There was a constant flow of people coming and going throughout the night, which made it feel a little noisy. The air conditioning unit was positioned right next to the bed and was quite loud, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. A kettle was provided, but the coffee and sugar were never replenished during our four-night stay. The only cups available were disposable plastic cups, which wasn’t ideal. As Gold members, the complimentary drink benefit was quite limited. We could only choose from 250ml cans, with no option for a glass of wine unless we purchased an entire bottle, and most beers were excluded. On the positive side, the hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, though, the experience was a bit inconsistent in terms of quality. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

The actual stay was fine but I do not think the breakfast is at all worth the money, with there being no hot foods and the fact that you have to cook eggs yourself on a tiny hot plate.

Disappointed that a late checkout as part of my gold status was not offered, which was strange when i was told I could have if it I paid extra, and there were also rooms available when I looked into extending my stay.

This hotel is very well located, only a few steps away from Gare de l'Est, so it's easy to reach every part of Paris one would like to visit. The room was relatively small but very comfortable according to Ibis standards, including an air conditioned, which was very good to have during the heat wave of June. The staff were always friendly and helpful and I could practice my French with them without problems. There was even a free dispenser of freshened water with mint and citrus for the hotel guests, which was great to have with this weather. I booked without breakfast but then decided to try it and this was also great value for money. The buffet had everything one could wish for to get the day started, including loose-leaf tea and small frying pans so guests could prepare their eggs at their taste. The only reason I don't give the hotel the full 10 points is because I had a small issue with the cleanliness, which I reported to the reception when checking out. It was really minor so no point in expanding it further in this review. In any case, I'll be happy to return to this hotel for my next Paris trip.
