My experience at the front desk (Abdulmalik) was very smooth. He was very welcoming and kind to assist me. My experience with the house keeping guy (Zakir) was also very cordial. My experience with Mr Shuaa during breakfast time on the second floor along with other members was unforgetful.

My room was not cleaned , when I asked for it to be cleaned it was done recklessly and my things were left on the group with dirty plates. The next day, my room again was not cleaned despite bringing to duty manager attention. I brought to the hotels attention that the curtain is not working, they never got it fixed and I had to sleep wither the curtain open

PERSONAL/ROOM SERVICE. The building has been designed and decorated beautifully (chandeliers, marble flooring). I stayed 5 nights. Only 1 day did room service clean my room without being asked. On one evening, the room above mine had a leak in the bathroom which leaked onto my toilet. The following morning, I had a rush of hot water--too hot to get into. And then, only cold water.
PROFESSIONAL/BALLROOM RENTAL. We were there b/c we held a 3 day workshop. The ladies bathroom lacked toilet paper every single day. WHY CAN'T YOU PUT MORE THAN ONE ROLL OF TOILET PAPER IN THE BATHROOM AT ONE TIME? Also, for the first two days, there was no clean up during breaks. Your staff said you were very busy. So what? That's on you to hire more people. Paying customers should not even be aware that you are too busy. Also, the microphones didn't work properly till the 3rd day. We could not have 3 on at the same time b/c the noise they generated feels like it will explode eardrums.
FEZ restaurant. The regular chef was gone when we ate there, so many dishes were not available. We ordered "Chicken Tagine" instead of Chicken Pastilla. What we got was roasted chicken PRESENTED in tagine sauce. It was not true "Chicken Tagine." It was dry. They cooked the chicken somewhere else in the hotel and they dumped it into a wet sauce. For the price and the beautiful decoration, the food was inappropriate and unexpectedly inauthentic. That said, our waiter and the rest of the staff were EXCELLENT.
PLUS points. On the plus side: people at reception were kind and helpful. Laxman in the breakfast room was great, as was the omelet chef. The lady chef who made the Saudi food was charming. The guy who ran the counter at the a la carte restaurant at the top of the stairs coming from the lobby was professional.
There is NO WAY I would stay at the Movenpick again, unless my client required it. Beautiful, but not worth the price because of the inconsistencies. NPS 3-4 tops.

I was overall happy with my stay, big, clean room, water supplied and great to have a kettle.
Breakfast was really good and the personnel there excellent.
I just wish there had been a way for women to swim somewhere.
In+46 degrees it would have been so lovely to go for a swim. I understand your culture, but great if women could have a chance to swim somewhere else.
I used the indoor jacuzzi once, but felt a bit uncomfortable since there was no personnel on site and I was the only person there.

The hotel was excellent in terms of staff and cleanliness. I was disappointed in not being able to find a TV news channel broadcasting in English. I also found it confusing to work out which restaurant was serving the type of food I wanted. I went to the Swiss cafe hoping to find pizza but was told they didn’t start serving it until 19:00. For a 5-star hotel, I expect a better, more flexible approach.
