All the staff at the hotel whom we met during our short stay were very accommodating and attentive. From the front office especially Ahmed, house keeping, security who helped looked for our misplaced shoes, chef and waiters during breakfast and the bartender at the lounge. Everyone was very friendly. We appreciate the room upgrade to a bigger Deluxe room for our first time in Riyadh. As a silver member, we received 4 welcoming drinks vouchers but only managed to redeem 2 drinks as we were well fed during our stay at the hotel with complimentary fruit basket and tea/ coffee in the room. Location wise, it is a walking distance to the Kingdom Tower. Some restaurants and cafe are nearby if you need a quick meal/ snacks.

Firstly, there was only one person at the check-in desk who took over 15 minutes to check a single person in. It’s ridiculous. Second, I booked a non-smoking room 3 weeks in advance, but when I arrived I was told only smoking rooms are available. Unacceptable. What’s worse is that I was promised the next day someone would change my room but no one followed up on my request. Lastly, the food in the restaurant and room service takes too long and is not good quality. 4 stars is too much for this establishment. I would consider it closer to 3 stars at best. For the price per night, this is absolutely NOT worth it. I will not be staying there again.

As an ALL member, this was my first stay at this particular ACCOR property, the Novotel Riyadh Al Anoud. I had a reasonable experience overall. The Positives: Check-in was quick, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious with good standard amenities. The location is excellent, situated in the corporate district with good access to Riyadh Metro — two metro stations are within a 10–15 minute walk. This is particularly important given the road congestion in the city; on one occasion, a journey that should have taken about 20 minutes took me more than 1.5 hours by road. There are also plenty of coffee shops and dining options around the hotel, and Olaya Mall is located within walking distance, which adds great convenience for guests. The hotel also has a decent gym. Areas for Attention: I had visited Riyadh for a business event, but the hotel prices were outrageously high — possibly owing to high demand, as prices in general seemed quite high across the city during my stay. While the hotel has a decent gym, one treadmill had a malfunctioning running belt. There was no out-of-order sign placed on it, which poses a safety concern for guests. I tried to use the steam and sauna facilities, but they were switched off. I had to request the staff to turn them on, and although they did, the facilities remained without steam and sauna functions even after waiting about 30 minutes. I used the iron in my room, and possibly due to it being rusty from inside, two of my shirts got damaged with rust spots. I complained to housekeeping, and they saw the shirts. I requested a replacement iron, and they were quick to help with a replacement iron and board. While the replacement iron worked well, the damage to my two shirts had already been done. Additionally, the replacement ironing board had unbalanced legs, making the ironing experience quite jerky. I requested the housekeeping staff to connect me with their supervisor so I could discuss the damage to my shirts, but despite several requests, I could not connect with or meet the supervisor. Final Thoughts: Despite these issues, the hotel offers clean and spacious rooms, a good location with excellent metro access, and friendly staff. If the maintenance issues and supervisor responsiveness are addressed, this would be a much better experience for business travelers. I would consider staying again, but would hope to see improvements in these areas.

It was a pleasant and reasonably good staycation with the family. The rooms were comfortable, and the amenities were decent overall. We booked the half-board option, but unfortunately, the dinner menu was quite limited and didn’t offer much variety, so it wasn’t really worth it.
