Stayed a couple of nights here, check in was a bit odd but once I got through that everything else was fine! Room was standard ibis, large comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice a real highlight. One negative is the airport transfer the offer, its through another company that require prepayment - you need to fill in a form and submiyt passport etc beforehand - all a bit too much hassle. Location wise there is a bank next door. Kingdom centre across the road. Ubers got confused arriving so make sure to get location correct.

The experience staying at the ibis hotel Olaya in Riyadh was very good. The staff from the reception to the housekeeping and importantly the staff at breakfast and dinner was amazing. All displayed a very warm and welcoming attitude that made our stay at the hotel (of 15 days) very pleasant

A good deal for the price

Reading some of the other reviews, I only conclude that people don't know what an Ibis is. It's a limited service property where you get a good basic quality room at a very good price. In fact this particular Ibis seems to offer a bit more: - there is a restaurant, not just for breakfast - some of the time there seemed to be a bellman (to help with bags) Location is great. Riyadh is sprawling, and this hotel is across the road from a big mall and other places to eat. Just be aware that the property has signage on Olaya street, and uses that in its name. However, there is no entrance on Olaya street - access by car and foot is on the street to the rear. One further nice feature, which I haven't seen before, was the option to buy early or late check in/out before arrival. Given the flight timings at RUH, that's a great option and very fairly priced.

My worse stay ever, I had a late night flight from Jordan to Riyadh went to Ibis hotel, no one was at the door to welcome I went to the reception there were no staff I waited for good 10min for someone to check me in as I was tired and sleepy however one the receptionist came and asked what do you want? The approach was very rude and not welcoming anyhow I informed him I have a reservation under my name gave him my passport, for 5min he looked lost I asked did U find my booking on which he said what is your name I informed again then he finally found my booking, he checked me in gave room keys but there was no one to assist me to the room so I managed myself with the luggage. As I went to the room it looked ok but when I checked the washroom it was dirty, no toiletries available, I came back to the room and dialed reception for dental kit but no one answered the phone I tried many time same no response, I left it and went to sleep as I was very tired from the flight. The next morning I called reception same no one answered i kept on dialing coz I needed a dental kit, almost after 45 min a receptionist answers my call I informed I have been trying to reach reception from last night and no one is taking the call on which he gave a explanation which means nothing and a very scripted sorry but didn’t mean it, just a formality to say sorry, then I asked for a iron, dental kit and slippers, he send these things in 5 min . I went for breakfast which was actually good so I art least enjoyed a good breakfast. I went out for my work came back in the evening and found no drinking water so again I called reception to send water he said it will take 10 min as housekeeping is busy with other rooms I said okie I will was the time was 8.48pm, after 30 min I called again and asked for water the receptionist reply you still didn’t get I said no, on which he said okie you will now I hanged up the phone and waiting for water 15 mins gone I called the reception again and said where is my water I need to have my medicine and sleep as I have work in the morning, receptionist apologized and said u will get now so I received water at 10:22pm that long just to get water…. Next day I approached reception to change my room and confirm my late checkout request as My flight was late in the evening and I needed to rest change and then go to the airport, the receptionist was very kind and approved my request and offered a late checkout, I thanked him and went back to my!room. The next after I came back from my work I wanted to take a nap before I leave for the airport suddenly the lights went off, I called the reception they said yes we will restore power in 20 min I said ok and went to sleep after 30 min I called reception again for the light , the receptionist answered the same in 20 min power wil be restored, I told him same thing u told me 30 min back , he said no no for sure max 20min power will be back. I waited for another 20min and checked again with reception, it was my time to leave for the airport I wanted to get ready on which he said u can come to the reception. This was such a worse service firstly you are not informing guest that there will be no power from so an so time, so plz be prepared and we extend our apology. Instead staff was rude and not helpfully at all . I got ready in dark room, my mobile battery was dead I went down with my luggage to check out I complained about the whole thing they took it with a smile and no further action I called taxi and went to the airport. Trust me this is a worse experience specifically when you are paying a good amount and not receiving what has been promised. I would strongly not recommend Ibis hotel to anyone.
