While the hotel itself is beautiful and the majority of the staff were courteous and cooperative, I experienced a deeply concerning incident involving the General Manager, Mr. Saeed Al Asiri. Prior to my visit, I had clearly communicated that I intended to conduct a small photo session. At no time was I informed that photography in the lobby was prohibited, nor are there any visible notices, published policies, or terms on the hotel’s website indicating such restrictions. Despite this prior communication, I was confronted and told that he had the authority to remove me from the hotel simply for taking photos with my mobile phone — without any professional crew, equipment, or commercial setup. The tone and manner in which this was addressed were inappropriate and disproportionate to the situation. Being threatened with removal under these circumstances, especially in the absence of any clearly communicated policy, was both unsettling and unprofessional. It is unfortunate that such conduct comes from the General Manager, who represents the highest level of leadership within the property. This incident significantly impacted my experience, and as a result, I will not be returning.
