Gourmettripbuddy TripAdvisor review

Really nice hotel. I stayed there for 3 days and I really enjoyed it. The rooms are modern, nice and clean. The employees are smiley and take care of you. Special congratulations to the Chef of the steakhouse restaurant who were very nice with me and his food is outstanding. I had the opportunity to meet the Operation Director (a French woman, who I forgot the name) and she was really helpful. I would go back there the next time I go to Riyad for sure.

I was attending a conference being held in the hotel and was returning after a similar stay in 2024. Staff, customer service, food, houskeeping, spa and ambience was exceptional. An amazing conference in an a fabulous location and venue.

I stayed at the hotel on a business trip on 17 Nov. I was charged a deposit of SAR500 and told that it was simply a placeholder and would be refunded immediately on checkout. Until today I have not received the refund even though in paid the full amount when checking in. I initially called the hotel back a few days after only to be told they would investigate and return my call within 10min. Nobody called me back. I then called again a couple of days later and was told to send and email. I did this and was told the refund would be issued by 23 Nov. It’s now 24th and still no refund. Quite unacceptable considering i paid the deposit in good faith, didn’t need to use any extras from the room and was told refund would be immediate..

I understand very well your frustration and very plainly we should not have charged your credit card but rather have a pre-authorisation on your credit card that would have automatically reversed after check-in. Our Front Office team has tried to contact you on various occasions to obtain some necessary details from you to proceed with the refund but only succeeded to speak with you two days ago. The refund is processed as a high priority with our deepest apologies. This should not have happened at any rate. If by any chance you were to come back to Riyadh, we would be delighted to invite for a dinner for two in our House of Gill. Although I recognize that this does not fully alleviate the wait that you experienced on your refund. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly at st… if I can be of any assistance.
