Very good option across from the beach

I had two nights here in a very nicely renovated suite with lots of room and a very comfortable bed. It was advertised as with a sea view which was technically correct but it was just a sliver of a view of the sea as I was on level 1. Breakfast was great - lots of typical French breads and pastries but basic hot food (just bacon and eggs). Parking is limited underneath. You have to book but it is subject to availability. There seems to be parking on the street but I’m not sure how long you can park there. There were cars parked there overnight though. The main restaurant is in the hotel but seems to be separate from it as you pay directly to them ie no room charge. The food was excellent. Generous serves and friendly staff. There is also a Japanese food counter that was good too. Location is good too. Just over the road and then down a track to the beach.

Lovely relaxing place to stay and centrally located

Perfect location in Deauville, close to the beach but also the main shopping street. The hotel itself is very nice and well maintained, the staff is super friendly, and the sushi restaurant on the ground floor is great as well for a casual dinner. Related to the "more fancy bistro" on the top floor I have a bit of a mixed feeling (see my comment below), nonetheless that would not take away my genuine advice to book your stay at Novotel in Deauville. On that breakfast area & bistro area (in the evening) on the top floor: It is showing quite some wear and tear and is not the tidiest I have seen at Novotel. The food was for sure up to the expected standard, but due to for example the heavily worn out chairs and the not very well cleaned floors it just doesn't deserve a 10 out of 10.

Whilst our room, and the hotel breakfast (plus breakfast staff) were excellent, our welcome to the hotel was not. Rooms not available until 1600? No problem. But when you arrive earlier, you do not expect to be ignored and forgotten, and for your room not to be ready until closer to 1630. Reception staff really didn't care very much, and the offer of 'a coffee' whilst we waited was no compensation, and this only following one of many complaints! As an ALL 4* hotel, your Reception staff let you down! We are both members of ALL, my husband is a Gold member, and we have stayed in many ALL hotels over the past 30 years. We have never received such a poor welcome. Disappointed.
