The location of the hotel is perfect to visit the city center or to go for a walk on the "planches", and only a 5-minute walk to Trouville.

Lovely hotel with only satisfactory customer service

Checking in to the hotel was simply disappointing. A gentleman, from memory by the name of Alexandre, was quite transactional, direct and the service he provided was more reflective of a budget hotel. He also started every sentence with a negative statement; for example ‘our internal booking system is down and I can’t help you’, or once we made our booking online (bearing in mind at reception) he said ‘ there is generally no twin room’ without even checking on the system. The hotel was also empty yet he decided to place us right opposite the elevator which caused some noise and disturbance. These are little gestures which make him better suited for Ibis, not mercure.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. At Mercure, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. We are really surprised for the feedback that you are giving us regarding our colleague. We usually have really great appreciation from his services. Please be aware that for the whole Accor Group in France, the system had a lag and therefore the reservation made could come to our systems after a long wait. That is why our colleage told you about it, it was just in case your reservation (that you made directly when you arrived) was not in our system right away. Luckily we recieved it directly and were able to do your check-in after almost no wait. Regarding the twin rooms indeed our colleague was right, we only have a few twin rooms available in our hotel and they were reserved, and the hotel was fully booked from the beggining of the summer. All our twin rooms are reserved at least a month in advence, and when you arrived we had only one room available. Alexander knew from the beggining that the room he had left was a double one without the need to look at the system. Thank you again for sharing your experience in our hotel. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Helpful staff, great location, clean rooms, delicious breakfast. Duplex is set up nicely for a family of 4. A bit loud in the morning with landscaping in courtyard and early delivery trucks on the street.
