My stay was okay. The receptionist who checked me in was kind and welcoming, and the one who checked me out was fast and friendly. My issue is with the room. As a gold member, I was upgraded to a one-bedroom apartment. The apartment was unfortunately disappointing. 1-There weren’t any universal plugs in the room. 2-The TV was old and tiny compared to other hotels. 3-There was no noise isolation at all. I was able to listen to my neighbors speaking, coughing, and even passing gas which was extremely unpleasant. I have sound sensitivity and any noise can wake me up easily. 4-The air conditioner didn’t have a fan mode. I wanted it to stay on to cover the noise coming from the neighboring room, but it was too cold even when I set the temperature to 25 or 28, the room was getting cooler. 5-The room wasn’t very clean. The bathroom had mold in it, there were a lot of small bugs flying around, and the floor was very sticky. I never walked barefoot inside the room and I even left my socks in there because I was too disgusted to use them again. I had to order bug killer spray and a disinfectant spray and sprayed it all over the room. I was also too disgusted to use the coffee machine or the kettle. 6-The shower head was from the blu brand with filter inside it which is very nice to see in a hotel, but those filters need to be replaced every 2-3 months. I could clearly see the rust in the shower head, which means that the filter was full of contaminants. That mixed with the mold in the bathroom made even the showers too disgusting. 7-The bathroom soap and shower gels were all empty. I had to use the shampoo for my body and to wash my hands. I didn’t want to call housekeeping because such things should be ready in all rooms and I didn’t want them to enter the room while I’m there. 8-The Ethernet port in the room didn’t work. 9-The bed only had two pillows. All hotels provide four pillows. 10-the bathroom sink was too small. The only reason I am giving it 4/10 rating is because of the reception staff who were friendly and supportive, they were the only reason why I didn’t complain or ask for the manager when I was staying there. Usually, I ask for the manager and with all the bugs in the room, I would’ve asked for a compensation. It wasn’t just one small bug, I saw at least 7 small bugs flying around. I had to look for their hiding spots and spray pifpaf all over the room which wasn’t something I should do at any hotel.

We had some issues with the new policy about showing Emirates IDs of everyone, but the team handled it really well and helped us process things quickly, especially the manager. I also want to mention someone whose name I forgot, but she was welcoming guests at the entrance and her support during our stay was really great.
