We booked the Pullman Sharjah to celebrate our anniversary, hoping for a memorable 5-star experience, but unfortunately, it turned into one of our worst hotel stays. Arrival & Service Issues: We clearly noted our anniversary in our special requests along with our phone number, but no one contacted us regarding additional costs since the app didn't have a payment option, and calls to the hotel went unanswered. Upon arrival, there was no clear valet sign. When I asked an employee outside where to park, he just told me to follow him into the parking without explaining that valet was an option. After 30 frustrating minutes of roaming a fully marked parking lot and getting confusing directions from the parking staff, I finally learned I could have just handed my keys to valet at the entrance. At the front desk, they claimed they didn't have my contact info to confirm the special request, which was frustrating. Although they tried to arrange something for our anniversary, it fell completely flat. Room Condition: For a 5-star hotel, the room condition was unacceptable. We found: Peeling and scratched chairs A sticky, malfunctioning "Do Not Disturb" button Very old, worn-out towels Permanent stains on the floating table A leaking bidet/jet spray in the toilet An ancient kettle that didn't feel safe to use A cracked glass on the coffee table (which later caused major issues) Post-Stay Hassle: After checking out, we received a call claiming we broke the coffee table glass and had to pay for it. The glass was already cracked when we walked into the room. Because we didn't take a photo upon arrival and didn't want the hassle, we agreed to pay the AED 200. However, the follow-up process was handled very unprofessionally. Even after communicating via WhatsApp, I received multiple aggressive and rude phone calls while in important meetings, demanding payment immediately after a payment link was sent. Conclusion: The physical hotel building itself is actually quite nice, and the stay could have been wonderful. Unfortunately, the staff are poorly trained and lack customer service standards. We expected a true 5-star experience and sadly did not receive it.

Could smell cigarette smoke from one of adjoining bedrooms reported this to reception and to my shock horror I was informed that I am on a smoking floor. Something I had not requested being a non smoker. A change of room was offered which sadly did not happen. So I checked two days early at which point everyone was falling over themselves to get me to stay but I had already booked elsewhere. Was given very poor reasons for why the room change did not take place.

Upon our arrival at the hotel, there was no valet staff available to assist us. After waiting for a short period, one of the staff members instructed me to drive up to the upper parking area. Since it was my first time visiting the hotel, I had great difficulty finding a parking space and navigating the parking facility. As a result, I spent more than 40 minutes trying to find a solution before I was finally able to park my car.
