Sofa in the living room had broken cushion and the shower tiles were not clean to a good standard.

I was told I was upgraded because Ibis Styles seems to be closed and only Mercure is utilized for guests. There was no tea or coffee in the room. I found trimmed human nails on the carpet. I was booked in a connecting room wherein the rooms have no soundproofing! The guest in the other room was on the phone most of the afternoon, and when he got back in the evening, the TV was too loud until 5 AM, even If I put the volume of the TV in my room on 14, his TV is still louder. It's not entirely his fault - the rooms obviously have NO soundproofing. The telephone in my room is not working. I called the operator from my mobile at 1 AM to inform the receptionist to request the guest to reduce the volume, but at no time did anybody reach out to him. One of the worst hotel stays I've had.
