Advised on check in we had been upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment which was nice. The apartment was fine, but there were stains on the couch and chairs and the bathroom fan made an awful noise. Asked three times to have our room serviced to no avail. Ended up just asking for a refresh of our towels, etc. We’re given towels and a bath mat. Requested face washers, but were given hand towels. A staff member knocked at our door with what appeared to be a guest and said sorry, I thought this room was vacant. Shortly after received a phone call querying whether I received the welcome gift, which I did not. Was delivered two bottles of water and two bars - probably not worth delivering a day late. I can only assume that when we got upgraded our details weren’t changed in the system. The housekeeping staff did not have us on their list for servicing but assured us they would do our room (which they did not). Overall, our experience was pretty poor.

We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. You are correct that the team did not update the system when they provided you with the upgrade. I have addressed this with the team and appreciate that whilst they had good intentions, we did not deliver and for this I am sorry for. Please accept our apologies for any upset or inconvenience caused. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Check in and check out were quick and efficient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very spacious, clean and the kitchen well supplied.
