You definitely just pay for the location of the hotel, we stayed here because we were attending a concert at marvel. It’s convenient that it’s right there but that’s about it. On our floor the carpet was coming up, room was clean and tidy, mini bar was empty. Paid for breakfast the next morning which was average. I just think for what we had to pay I expected a lot more, I’ve stayed nicer, updated places for a better price. The location was convenient, but we won’t be staying again.

Small hotel but very worth what we paid. If you want a hotel right near Marvel Stadium, I recommend Peppers at Dockland.

I have been thinking about what to write for this. I will start with this. My husband and I came to Melbourne in 2019 for the Melbourne Cup. We stayed at the Stamford Plaza in the city and had an incredible time staying there, the staff were amazing, they asked us lots of questions, why we were in Melbourne, what we were wanting to do, and where we wanted to eat etc etc, the customer service was outstanding! They helped us order taxis, they helped us get to the race days, they held a Melbourne Cup day breakfast and had photo stations etc etc. It was outstanding! Staying there absolutely made our trip, I remembered it like yesterday. My husband and I carefully weighed up our options on where we might stay this time around, whether we go back to the Stamford Plaza, or mix it up, I thought long and hard about this, because of how amazing it was. We decided to stay somewhere else, and chose Peppers. I tried to contact someone at Peppers to ask if you catered for customers who are over for the Melbourne Cup, I did not receive a reply. I spoke to friends and they thought we should stay somewhere else, I felt my gut feeling was telling me to stay at the Stamford Plaza. And unfortunately I should have stuck with my gut feeling because we were extremely let down with what we experienced at Peppers. There was absolutely no customer service, no question asked. Young staff who didn't care why people were staying there, and actually what it takes for some people to get away, the cost and time.. no care whatsoever. The carpets were stained and in need of replacing, the room for the price, had no amenities whatsoever (I should have looked into this more before I stayed) Marvel Stadium is directly behind your hotel, with Cold Play on two nights in a row which meant disrupted sleep. The cricket was on, but none of your staff think to ask if we are aware of these events to offer.. We asked about trains and trams and weren't told it was a 5 minute walk to the main train station. I was incredibly dissatisfied and wish we had stayed at the Stamford Plaza. I seriously think you need to up your game with customer service, there was. none, at all! Your staff weren't rude by any means, I just felt they weren't interested in what was going on in Melbourne. Friends asked upon return what we thought of Peppers and I told them I should have gone with my gut.
