Lovely hotel with well appointed rooms. The price point was acceptable for the quality hotel that is Peppers. The king room was large and clean. We received a free bottle of wine because it was our anniversary. That was a lovely surprise. The staff on the front desk were professional and welcoming. There was a tram stop just outside the hotel so it was easy to get into the city. It is located right next to Marvel Stadium so if I wanted to stay over after a concert in the future or the footy, I would book into Peppers again. There were 2 things that I noted that could potentially be improved. The bed was a bit too soft and giving for my taste but I am sure it would probably suit someone else's taste. My husband and I love a breakfast buffet and so we paid extra for it at Peppers. I was excited to go down for brekky but I was disappointed. Perhaps, my expectation of a buffet breakfast has been spoilt by resort buffets overseas where fresh omlettes are prepared in front of you. Anyhow, I would still choose Peppers but perhaps go out for brekky next time.

We were in a unit with a kitchen and have suggestions on a few things that could make the stay a bit more pleasant. 1. salt and pepper 2. measuring cup 3. oven mitt 4. scour pad for dish washing 5. dish or container with lid to allow storage of leftovers 6. strainer or colander 7. ottoman for the sitting area We also had a challenge where the wifi details on the key we were given were different from what was on the cupboard and different from what was on the bottom of the modem. It was sorted out quickly.

Second or third time staying, however this time was a disappointment... at 11pm on Friday night I went down to reception to let a person into the building, when going back upto my room the key card reader on the door stopped working. Went to reception and manager on duty came up to the room using the master key to try access the room, no luck so a locksmith was called, 2 hours later still no lock Smith, by hour 3 the key reader started working again. There was more to the story and person on duty was amazing about the situation but overall having to wait 3 hours while my medication and belonging was locked behind a door that even the managers could not get into... This lead to me getting 2 hours sleep before the event the next day and now becoming unwell due to lack of sleep...

I know this booking was over an event w/end, but for over $500 per night I would still be expecting 5* facilities and service. Service was kind and was positive from staff interactions I had, but not amazing. Only 1 room key provided, due to the fact previous tenant had not returned one of the keys. Quite inconvenient. The room WiFi did not work, the room key given had the correct Username but incorrect p/word. The WiFi sign in the apartment was incorrect Username & P/W. This was rectified after i spoke to Reception and I returned to the room with the Tech specialist who provided correct WiFi p/w. 2 bedroom apartment and no sofa in the Living Room space. Not overly comfortable to watch TV on the chairs provided. Nil instructions on the coffee machine that i could find easily enough. I'm a Silver Accor member and receive Welcome Drinks at all my stays, but not this one? Due to Apartment booking and not Hotel? The points i earned for the stay were not relative to the price i paid, maybe no points promotion at the time. But i Have earned a greater amount of points on other stays and paying less per night. I didn't purchase B/fast but the price point was way above to what was on offer. I've eaten b/fast at the Pullman in Melbourne plenty of times and the value is exceptional. The offering of food/drink choice at the b/fast here was not comparable for same price as Pullman. Didn't choose. Great location for Marvel Stadium and public transport to other Melbourne attractions, not sure I would choose to stay again if the prices remain similar.

Rooms and bed great, not a great hotel for business travel. No pick up and drop off zone making it hard to get to and from different locations, no food on site for dinner - room service and dinner options are a must in my mind. Gym doesn’t open til 7am, again not great for business travel. If going to an event at the stadium and not wanting much from a hotel it’s a great option, but not for me for business

Fine, nicely done out. Staff friendly and helpful. The rooms doors tend to slam shut loudly and this did wake me up early in the morning when other guests left their rooms.

No phone in the room, meant I couldn’t ask for any assistance , took Service , gym location , late check out , had to speak to a international person about trying to get water , staff were good for their part at the hotel but the experience was terrible , 5 star hotels need 24 reception , phones in rooms , access to assurance . I left my bag at reception on departure for a while and came back at 3:30 to a closed reception and had to wait 20 minutes , almost missed my flight ( never been more disappointed with Accor and don’t think it was worth the money I paid )
