Hotel fell well below expectations for a business stay. Cut my stay short and 7 other colleagues similarly changed their reservations. Found better value at the Larwill - same price and far superior facilities. Location is very convenient to our office, but worth staying a bit further out to be a bit more comfortable.

Very pleasant stay.Cleanliness if elevator could be improved. Breakfast included in price but scrambled eggs were dry and little fresh fruit mainly canned.

We have stayed here many times before.We can get on free trams to most of our city needs and on the way to our son's residence out of town. The rooms are comfy and well presented.

It was a great stay at the Mercure. The room was clean more or less (minor issues but we’re not expecting 5 stars but nothing to complain too much about). Staff were very friendly from check in and check out. Location was excellent. Bed was comfortable and amenities provided in the room was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The bed in our room had a mattress with springs pocking into our bodies. We had to use the spare blanket and our pillows as 'topers' to be able to find some comfort. It is insulting to expect people to sleep in such beds. I had to deliver a workshop the next day and I was very tired due to lack of sleep I understnd that we could have called reception and complain. It was late when we went to bed so we did not take action. However, no patron should have to call and complain about a neccessity such as a comfortable bed to sleep in

Hotel check in was fine. I just wonder why this is a mercure as room are small despite the kitchen, lot of dust, old AC, no gym, no pool, no restaurant either ... well not much value at the end

staff were lovely. Hotel was not very clean. Breakfast was always cold. Position was good. Cant say that I would recommend or stay there again. Bathroom needed updating. Shower was awful. Forgot to replace towels on one day

My main purpose of staying at your hotel is to get a good night sleep as the unit I stay at the moment has a problem with ventilation/air quality that disturbs my sleep. On the day I spent at your hotel, I was woken up by a strong smell (something like frying food) at around 12.30 am. Then I rang the reception to the person came up to help me. He left the window opened for about 20 minutes and sprayed some air freshener. The receptionist mentioned that it is unusual to get that smell and he would ask the house-keeping manager to attend to the issue. Then I tried to sleep again. After about 2 hours, I got the same smell for about 1 minute. I told the receptionist again and came up again. I also told them that the room is getting colder than the temperature I set on the remote control of the split system air conditioner/heater. He asked me to use warming instead of cooling to maintain a fixed temperature. It was an answer quite difficult to understand as we should be able to maintain a temperature irrespective of whether we use a cooler or heater. I also inquired him why the hotel does not keep an operational manual for the heating/cooling system. he could not provide a reasonable answer. As a result, I cut my short my stay at the hotel and moved to a different hotel.

I found your hotel online and we were very satisfied with the accommodation when we arrived. Our room looked just like the picture. Location near the Market and tram line was a plus. Breakfast had good variety and healthful options, and the restaurant staff were very helpful and accommodating. We ended up cancelling a booking at another venue for our return visit because we were happy at the Mercury. The return booking, made directly with hotel, had a glitch with payment. But it was eventually resolved to our satisfaction. We would recommend your hotel to others.

The hotel was in a good location for trams, eating out etc; the check-in process was quick and smooth - however the reception/lobby was shabby, needed a fresh coat of paint and had an off-putting overpowering smell. I felt like I was checking in to a hostel rather than a hotel. The room itself was perfectly practical, and had everything needed, although again, in need of a little love (leather worn on the chair etc). Small things could have been better, like really very dusty extraction fans and air con units, dirty bathroom grout etc. There was no dead-lock on the door, being a single traveler always makes me a touch un-easy at night. Spare plug sockets next to the bed was a good bonus. Again, check-out was swift, pleasant and efficient. The smell was still very much there though!

We found it dark and small but adequate for our needs. A lighter colour would give the place a big lift. Staff were very helpful. Location was good. Good Shower but needing a grout upgrade. Was great that it was serviced daily. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
