A friend had arrived before I had arrived to check in. He found the STAFF UNHELPFUL as they suggested I was staying in a different location; which was not true. VERY NOISY PLACE due to inadequate/poor/abysmal window seals/isolation from external noises including voices from passers by, cars, motor bikes, garbage trucks, etc all through the night. Impossible to get a decent sleep if you need an early start. Clean but POKEY ROOM crowded with too much furniture. Took payment up front which is normal PLUS $100 for incidentals BUT there are no incidentals available in the room or within the hotel. They keep it for 5 days so I guess they play the money market? Then, upon checking out very early in the morning the desk guy DELAYED MY DEPARTURE by asking for my details again, even thought there are no incidentals, and payment is always up front. Other hotels, such as Meriton Suites, have a fast checkout where you drop the key card in a box and go, and then the invoice is emailed as you walk out. I'm STILL WAITING FOR INVOICE to be emailed to me as promised... sigh.

Not the worse experience but pretty close. I initially booked two separate rooms back in June 2019 for New Year’s Eve. I cancelled one room a week before the booking during a phone call. I specified that I only wanted one room cancelled, and even asked for an email to confirm the change in booking. The staff member, Thy, assured me that only one room was cancelled. Unfortunately, during check in, they could not find my booking because Thy had cancelled both the rooms. Luckily they managed to find us a room on the spot after some shuffling. The room was reasonably clean. However, for the price I paid, I expected better quality. The sheets in both room were of the wrong sizes - queen sheets for king beds. Small issues but for $559 per night, I think it’s reasonable to expect proper sheets. Breakfast was also a mess. I informed reception staff during check in that we will have an extra person staying and joining us for breakfast. She was happy to accommodate this at no cost because of the mess during check in. At breakfast, dining staff were so confused even after I said I’d be happy to pay the extra amount. They kept insisting “you’re room only had 4 people”. During check out, I was once again told that there were issues and could not check me out on the spot. I was told that check out and refund of the $100 holding deposit would be processed automatically once the system is up and running. It wasn’t. I had to call 4 days later to follow up. They did send a receipt and processed the holding fee after I called. Some positives - location was great for NYE. Breakfast has a great range of choices. Nonetheless too many stressing factors for one night.

Probably the worst experience I have had with the Accor group. Couldn’t book on line with Accor points. Beds weren’t made every day and had to ask for this to be done. Covers were pulled up but sheets not straightened. Booked well in advance and told them I wanted to use Accor points for most of it which they said was fine but when went to check out they couldn’t process. I told them the could process the remaining dollars on credit card and while we went out they would sort the points issues. When got back they said a new person had come on and processed the full amount on my credit card. I was then told I had to ring Accor to sort it out. We had also asked for a 4 oclock check out when booked which was denied when asked about half way through when I checked. On top of this I had to spend 1 hr 15 mins on the phone to Accor and sebal once I got back to New Zealand to get the points processed. It did get done but a bad customer experience. On positive the facilities are very good.

The service from staff excellent, however would have thought for 3 night stay would have got a change of towels. Rooms made up as requested. Could use a better quality garbage bag not very hardy. No problem with parking

Booked 2 luxury escapes stay with one night at full room rate in between on new years eve. I think i must have explained this at least 4 times to diferent staff members before during and on checking out. It was painfull , some staffs understanding of English needed for this customer facing role was poor. Rooms were not very clean ie Windows very dirty, dust on surfaces Space in the apartment was good and staff and food in the Capri cafe were great. Would probably not stay there again

Checking in with limited pay option was difficult. No pay pass facility. I had lost my wallet and luckily had my CC separate. Unfortunately, because I don’t use the CC often I was unsure of the PIN and was told there was nothing you could do until I kicked up a stink and then suddenly there was another way!?!?!? Over cleanliness was good, apart from the mirror in the bedroom that looked like some sort of “liquid” had been poured onto it and overlooked at the last clean

Disappointing. Room not ready when we arrived. Made to go out for an hour. When we came back after an hour of walking the streets, we were told that it would be at least another hour!!! Reception gave us drink vouchers for the restaurant and said we could wait there. Restaurant service was even worse. They said all we were entitled with those vouchers was a small coffee in take away cups. The apartments were lovely but the service and organization lacked BIG TIME. Have booked elsewhere for next year.

The stay was good - allowing for the days we were there (both public holidays and one being christmas). Room was good and parking quite reasonable. What was missing however was firstly the opportunity to use the welcome drinks as nothing was open christmas day and despite what was said in an email prior to arrival the on site restaurant was not open on the Thursday ( we had been told it was now closed Sun - Wed). In addition despite being listed on the letter saying what benefits we get from accor membership one item - bottle of water was not provided. Only small but the absence of something noted as being included is missed more than a major thing (such as the ability to eat at the restaurant even with a discount).

We had an exceptional stay and loved every minute of the 3 nights.. The Staff were so friendly, helpful, cheerful and everything was so clean..!! The pool, spa and sauna were a delight, as was the room.. The view was amazing and the location was perfect..!! Couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home in the heart of Melbourne..!!

We booked very early in 2019 to avoid disappointment and asked for the top level so we could enjoy the scenery of the festive season. Throughout the year we kept call Sebel Docklands to seek assurance we were getting what we paid for. Upon arrival we were advised that we had been placed on level 4 and not level 6. Complaints to management and staff fell on deaf ears. Also the room was not cleaned properly and we had to constantly ask for housekeeping to make good some areas of the apartment after they had been in to clean. One example was very sticky floor in kitchen and entrance area.

The hotel is well located with many restaurants, supermarkets, shopping and free trams close by. Our 2 bedroom apartment was good, however, we were missing some basic utensils i.e. only one fork for 4 people, no egg flipper and the oven made a terrible noise when it was on which led to us having to switch it off at the fuse box. Depsite this, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

You guys were full out on 30 Dec, to be expected. Would have been nice to have our room ready on time: we arrived at 11AM, and were told it would be expedited as posisble, and didn’t have it until 3:30PM that day. Also, seemed trainee was at desk all day - long lines at desk every time I went up. not the best day to utilise trainee? I know it was a hammer of a day, but I’m not sure I’d come back as the service level had frictions that with kids under 4, just aren't’ worth it. best, Luke
