Lolsev1961 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

My 11.55pm flight from Melbourne to Christchurch was cancelled due to Crew illness and the airline arranged for me to stay at this hotel until my rearranged flight 48 hours later. It was around 5am when I got there and checked in. My room was clean and comfortable 😌 Even though I was a solo guest my room had 2 double beds, a reasonable sized bathroom, free WiFi and tea/coffee facilities. The staff arranged a wake up call for me and, when I didn't respond after a few calls came and gently knocked on my door until I responded and they knew I was ok. I found the staff to be very helpful and courteous. As I had been 'stranded' so to speak in a strange city they helped me out in many different ways. A huge 'Thank You' to Chantelle, the day manager in particular. If I am ever fortunate enough to visit Melbourne intentionally I will happily stay here again. 5 stars 🌟

Lots of trainee staff due to re-opening after covid. Trainee must keep up the pace to be more service oriented since you are in hospitality business.

Staff was lovely and let us check in earlier due to earlier room availability and we did not have to wait the 5 extra hours for the actual check in time which allowed us to explore Melbourne further

Book the hotel as it was near my customer and eating areas. The hotel restaurant was down and it was mention in my booking. When I wanted to do my laundry they told me all the washing machines were down. I ask for direction to nearest the laundry mat. I asked for the address to be written down. Instead the staff gave me a verbal direction which was not very clear. I tried finding the area in the dark and couldn't find it. I ask again he finally gave me the actual address but failed to write down the address. As it started raining I decided to go the next day.

My bathroom smelt of bleach, the ceiling has poorly patched holes and the carpet didn’t appear vacuumed.
