Stayed one night on Xmas day. Good experience overall. Appreciated room and parking being available at 12pm. Good sized clean room. Hotel carpet looked a bit worn in places. Staff were helpful.

Missed the entry driveway initially, not well marked. Receptionist not overly friendly. Had booked a single and queen bed, room had 2 doubles - receptionist tried to tell me that's what we booked-, and that we actually had an upgrade to 2 queen beds- they were definitely doubles. There were only 3 teabags in the room, the receptionist provided us with more. The room was clean and comfortable enough.

1)The room was totally shabby. The lights were not working. The receptionist gave me an alternative room but that had the same problem 2) The room had a small mouse below our bed. Can you believe it. When I spoke to the manager, he causally said that it can happen sometimes in spite of the pest control!!! 3) The bathroom was never cleaned during our stay. The towels were kept outside. Used coffee cups , spoons were as is , not washed nor replaced. 4) No drinking water was provided in the room. When I went to the cafeteria, the attendant asked me to fill it myself. To summarize, this has been the worst stay with Mercure in my life. Any 2 star hotel will also have a better cleanliness and hygiene than what this so called 4 star had. It was a trauma. I will be putting it on social media soon.
