Between the black mould in the bathroom, the pungent deep fryer smell throughout the hotel and the general state of cleanliness of the hotel, I have to say that it was rather surprising and disappointing. I checked out one night earlier.

I was traveling alone and chose this hotel because it was close to the hospital for app’s in the morning, had a pool for exercise and room service. Elevator, hallways and rooms need a good clean. Pool was shut for maintenance, which should be on your website, there is a big gaps under doors to see/hear/smell people. Extremely disappointed with room service

Stayed here for work, well located for what I needed. The hotel is typical of the Mecure properties. A lot tired but clean. 3 star. Lovely staff and an ok restaurant. It's pub /bistro food. The breakfast was good. I had a couple of maintenance issues but staff did their best to fix these during my stay. It's the putting right that counts. I thought it would be noisy as was Hacker St side but despite the single glazing it wasn't. I slept very well. The room could do with more lightning as has high ceilings and it's quite dim at night.

Good location just far enough from city. No knowdlege of pool/ sauna being out of service. Found out ourself by trying to access the area. Bad communication. No access to restaurant grand final eve. Had breakfast on the Sunday and big sign said choose your own eggs. I asked for poached eggs and got told oh no we are not doing that today due to a “big booking”. Don’t advertise if you can’t delivery. I have stayed in a fair few mercure hotels, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had
