My partner and I felt very let down. We ordered the chicken & mashed potato downstairs and the breast piece was way too thick and the mash was a very minimal amount. Looked absolutely nothing like the picture on the menu. The boom gate out of the car park wasn't working properly and had to get staff to come out each time to let us out. Apparently the token they gave us to use to exit the car park was way too thin. The staff member used a thicker token and gave us back the token that didn't work! 🤦‍♂️ At the end of the day it's not meant to be a luxury hotel. One massive MASSIVE positive was the buffet breakfast. It was delicious and I would definitely eat breakfast there again.

Overall I really enjoyed staying in this motel. The beds were very comfortable which is huge plus for me. My only gripe is that the toilet has a leak so the cistern is constantly running and was quite noisy, this also affected the shower temperature which kept changing from hot to cold and wasn't very pleasant. Our fix to this was to turn off the tap to the toilet when not in use. I was annoyed about this as I felt we had paid "enough" for the room compared to our normal go to places to stay but luckily the the beds were very comfortable and this made up for the slight annoyance I felt over this. So overall, I would stay here again, just not in room 140 if I had a choice. The receptionist was super lovely also and made for a very pleasant checkin and out experience.
