It is very tricky to get to and most taxis cannot access it. If you have any luggage it is hard to get it to the hotel. the ramp is not great. My daughter came to see me and the hotel staff would not let her come to my room.

We stayed here on our vacation to Istanbul and this was excellent choice ! Location was central within walking in walking distance to all - Hagia Sophia , Bacillca cistren, Gulhane parks , Topkapai . Spice bazar etc . Staff were great and always cheerful making us feel at home . We had wonderful breakfast to start our days . We are even upgraded to a family suite ! Thank you Mercure!

When booking a hotel in Istanbul (Mercure Istanbul Sikreci) my only selection criteria were Accor Group hotels. I gave up better options (better hotel, compare the price, better localizations) hoping that, even if I paid a bit more, my Platinum status would give me an upgrade and a better room. Instead, I received a standard room with no additional amenities, no coffee machine, nothing beyond the basic setup, to make a difference. I didn’t receive anything beyond what I would have gotten as a guest without Platinum Card, or with a regular, basic one (the blue card). On the day of departure, I was asked to leave the room at 12:00, just like any other guest.
