I stayed at Novotel Mumbai International Airport from July 30 to August 1 as a resident guest. While the location and basic amenities are adequate for airport hotel needs, I must address a significant issue with the security screening process at the main lobby. As a repeat guest, I expected professional, respectful treatment. Instead, the security staff's manner during screening felt unnecessarily harsh and made me feel singled out and uncomfortable. The interaction lacked the warmth and empathy that should accompany even necessary security procedures. As a guest, I shouldn't feel disrespected or embarrassed when undergoing routine checks. While I appreciate the hotel's later written apology acknowledging these concerns, the experience itself left a negative impression. Hotel management responded professionally via email, but this doesn't undo the impact of the initial interaction. The Bottom Line: A hotel's true hospitality standard isn't just about rooms and amenities—it's about how staff treat guests. Security is important, but it can be conducted with professionalism and dignity. I would recommend this hotel revisit staff training on guest interaction.

Disappointing on some fronts, although overall ok. Rooms are spacious but could be cleaner. Basic bathroom supplies such as shower gel, conditioner and lotion were not available upon checkin and had to be requested. The hotel holds guests hostage to a no outside food policy, limiting options to their in house menu. The food is average. Breakfast service was very well managed and hospitable and one of the better parts of my stay.
