Great stay at the Softiel Mumbai. The rooms were large, well equipped and clean. Compared to other stays at 5 star hotels in India, this certainly met or exceeded the mark. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helped with all of my questions. The food was also great between the extensive breakfast or room service.

The rooms has dark interior. The sofa fabric is very rough. Bathroom door doesn't has lock. Bathroom door has sliding glass which very heavy. The electrical points for lights and curtains are difficult to understand. Room service came after 1 hour initially they had mention 25 minutes.

Service was inconsistent. Asking for a revised in-room dining bill due to a pricing mistake took hours and when I was busy and asked the staff to return 10 mins later, there was no follow up. The breakfast service similarly mixed. Quick to seat you but then they send my eggs to another table so I left without getting what I ordered. Cocktails are very averagely made. Stick to the beers and wines.
