We stayed for two nights with the half-board package (breakfast + lunch/dinner). Unfortunately, the experience did not meet 5-star standards. Dining: There was no clear information about what we could order for dinner, so we had to choose the buffet. Although the buffet looked large, very few dishes actually tasted good. The non-veg items were especially disappointing — we ended up eating only dal. For the price we paid (₹77,000 for two nights), there were no soft drinks or even tea included with the dinner buffet, which was surprising for a hotel of this level. Noise & Disturbances: On the 5th-floor hallway outside our room, kids were playing badminton and no staff member stopped them. This created constant noise and disturbance. During checkout, there was an event happening in the hotel. The loud music and vibrations could be felt on the entire floor. Drunk guests were moving around and even disrupted my checkout process. Again, no staff intervention. Pool Access: We went to use the pool, but an employee told us it was booked for an event and guests could not access it. She escorted us only to look at the pool. If the hotel states the pool is open until 8 PM, guests should not be denied access. Overall, based on our experience, this did not feel like a 5-star hotel. The service, communication, and guest management were far below expectations for the price we paid.

I stayed at the Fairmont Mumbai for 5 days, and unfortunately, the experience was far below the standard expected from a five-star hotel. The most serious issue was a late-night disturbance at 22:47, when the hotel called my room about an unpaid bar check from earlier in the evening. I had already asked for the bill around 6–7 p.m., but no one ever brought it. Instead of resolving the matter at the time, the hotel called me hours later while I was asleep before a 5 a.m. flight. The phone rang so loudly that it was genuinely startling and felt unsafe. Service throughout the stay was consistently slow and inexperienced. Simple requests took a long time, and it often seemed that staff needed multiple layers of approval for basic tasks — not something you expect at a USD 400-a-night property. Our entire group faced repeated payment issues. None of us were able to pay with Apple Pay or any digital wallets, and we were frequently unable to charge meals to our rooms, which created unnecessary inconvenience during a four-day stay. While the management responded after I raised these concerns, the resolution offered was a future upgrade and dinner on a next visit — which does not address the issues we experienced during this stay. Overall, I cannot recommend this property and will not be returning.

Everything was great except the bedside lights. I wasn’t able to understand why they were not turning off in the night even though there was no activity. Something wrong with the sensors. Informed the reception because I wasn’t able to sleep till 1:30 am. Had to cover the lights with the sofa pillows
