Dear Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach, Here is the belated review of my stay at your hotel. Since it was my first visit to India and I had more or less specific plans for my visit, which among others included getting acquainted with the city Mumbai itself as much as possible, gathering at least basic experiences with getting around and interacting with ordinary Mumbaikars, visiting the most of the prominent and famous locations and spots throughout the city, and at last but not least meeting with certain people related to Bollywood, therefore I perhaps wasn't that much focused on all the services available to me during my stay in the hotel and that were also included in my booking. So, from this point of view I left quite some of the room (also with the above overall rating!) for my additional review and my eventual new future visit here, which may even take place this same year again, when I will certainly be better prepared and informed. On my vacations I usually choose 4-star hotels and for the last several years I spent most of my vacations in my home country S.. I can say the levels are quite comparable between Novotel and my reference Slovenian hotel, although there certainly are slight differences, mostly due to regions and countries specifics, of course. I was pleasantly 'surprised' with the daily availability of free bottled mineral drinking water in my room (ok, it was included in the price, but anyway :-) )! It would be very inconvenient for me if it were otherwise. So, thank you very much for this! The staff was kind, helpful, accessible, friendly, and adequately communicative! Cleanliness of the premises was in general ok. Regarding my room maybe I can mention a few minor issues: the shower cabin was leaking water at one or two places; there was - I think - a fire and smoke detector (or sensor) on the ceiling above the bed with the blinking(!) green LED, which was very annoying during the night time (it actually disturbed my sleep); the AC unit and air conditioner was perhaps a bit too loud as well, but one can eventually get accustomed to it; I would wish to have let's say some additional stand or similar item in the room to hang my clothes; as for TV channels I would prefer if there were some more international news and informative channels available (maybe they were?), and above all easier accessible, grouped together and put somewhere more towards the beginning of programme scheme (I didn't count the number of all active channels, but it was too high for me anyway). Unfortunately I couldn't manage to go to and try the Premier Lounge and evening cocktail hours during my stay. I actually remembered about this option a bit late (I was also too busy with other things). Food was great, especially during the dinners, but I'll write about it in a special separate review. To wrap this review up maybe one suggestion - it would be nice if there was more flexibility available on the hotel side for the visitors arriving from abroad and far away, e.g. from Europe. What I mean with this is for example when I had to shorten my stay for half a day due to returning flight cancelation and I was still billed the whole day as per my originally planned stay. Novotel is well located with great views. I was upgraded to the beach facing suite, which was absolutely wonderful. The food and beverage team is superb. IRD was great and so was the buffet spread. Would recommend Novotel, Mumbai to anyone visiting the city.

The stay was ok but the services were extremely bad. In room dining hardly answered the calls. Even if they answered, we had to call again for a reminder. So just to give a few examples, we had ordered 2 mocktails (thats after trying their number for half an hour) and it took them one and a half hours to be delivered to my room after 4 calls! Baby's milk took 45 mins to be delivered after 2 reminders. It was absolutely frustrating especially when the baby starts crying for it. Earlier in the month of March I had faced a similar issue at the very same hotel. I was trying to make a reservation for dining with my friends and I had to call them for 2 days continuously just to make a simple restaurant reservation! Plus after dining at the restaurant it took them one month to credit the points to my account that too after several email exchanges. Also I had a member's voucher which said 7499 for a standard room but that was not accepted at the time of check in. When I enquired I was told that I can use that voucher on the app. So I asked the person to show it to me how its done on the app and that guy could not find it. So he said you will have to call the customer care for using this voucher. My understanding was that you have to present your vouchers physically at the time of using the services. Also I had requested for a baby cot to be placed in my room one day prior on the email itself. That was not done even after I checked in. For that too I had to give them several reminders and phone calls. So the location was good, stay was pretty much alright but the service quality was not at all upto the mark!

I flew down from Novotel Ahmedabad and the staff there at reception was so kind, I was walking with a stick because of surgery on both legs there they made me comfortable on a couch and did all the checking and payment from there they made sure I was not standing for long and sent someone to drop my luggage in my room on the other hand here in Novotel Mumbai staff at the reception counter didn’t care about my situation I stood for 15-20mins for Check-in and even after that they didn’t send someone to drop my luggage. Little support to someone who needs it was missing I was already tired because of the travelling and yet I saw staff at the reception being ignorant about my situation I didn't expect it

By far I have stayed With almost all 4 and 5 star hotels in the city. But my experience with Novotel was the worst. I would have felt more satisfying by throwing this amount out of the window rather than staying there. Remember dint fall prey to ocean / sea view room categories as they are partial. Like sleeping on the bed you see building opposite side and of you stand than slum n all. When you go to the corner of the room you get to see some part of ocean. And it is sold as ocean view room.
