We have stayed in this hotel many times due to it's location, right on Juhu Beach. The rooms have recently been refurbished but the wiring hasn't. Only one plug socket in our room was reliable. Check in was a shambles and took over 30minutes even though there were 3 check in staff and we were next in line after those being served. There seemed to be such confusion with everyones queries. We are Gold Accor members but there was no Privelge welcome. We were also told we could't be upgraded as they only upgrade to one category of room above level paid for and that was unavailable. They would not jump to the upgrade above. The first room we were allocated stank of smoke but they moved us quickly without any problem. The music in the bar both in the afternoon & evening was banging - too loud, even at breakfast, it was dance music. OK if you like that. having said all this - we would go back & hope for better luck.

Feedback on Stay & Dining Experience at Novotel Mumbai Juhu

Dear Sir, My recent stay at your hotel Novotel Mumbai Juhu, and I would like to share my disappointing experience, particularly regarding the service at The Square restaurant and the checkout process. We hosted guests for dinner, expecting a smooth and professional experience, but the service was extremely slow. There was only one person, Neeraj, serving the entire restaurant, which was unacceptable for a five-star establishment. It took 15 minutes just to place our order, and every item—from food to basic essentials like a spoon—was delayed. At one point, we had to take a spoon from another table ourselves. The slow service was so frustrating that one of my guests left his meal unfinished and walked out. Additionally, we witnessed senior citizens at the next table arguing due to the poor service and eventually leaving. Another major concern was a billing issue with a drink order. One of my guests ordered a regular Ballantine's peg, but he was charged for Ballantine's 12-Year peg. The drink served was a normal one, which was later acknowledged as a mistake by Sameer. My guest clarified that he had ordered the regular version, and we were assured this would be rectified in your system. However, now I am receiving calls from Mr. Arif claiming that one peg was missed from the bill. I have not even reviewed the bill yet, as I made the payment without seeing it. Please share the bill first, and I will verify the charges accordingly. When I inquired about these service lapses, I was informed that due to the Holi festival, staff did not turn up, and no one was answering calls. If this had been communicated in advance, we would have reconsidered our plans and avoided the frustration. To add to the disappointment, during checkout, I waited 45 minutes for a luggage assistant, but no one responded. In the end, we had to carry our own luggage. While Keerti( Duty Manager) was very kind did meet us and assure us that these issues would be addressed, I believe it is important for the management to seriously review the service standards to prevent such experiences for future guests. I hope you take this feedback into account and ensure corrective action. I look forward to your response.
