The place is magical. Building a hotel in the middle of Largo do Boticário was a fantastic idea. That said, saying the property has three pools is a bit misleading. There are actually two large pools and one very small kids’ pool that, honestly, is hard to count as a real pool. But my main question is: where’s the TV? I totally understand not having a television in the room if this were a hostel, but I stayed in a private room and used the place as a hotel, not as a hostel. After spending the whole day exploring Rio, I really missed having a TV to relax and unwind before going to sleep.

Some of the staff weren't very friendly. One of them even entered the room in the morning making noise without asking permission. I was startled. The environment is very beautiful and pleasant. The breakfast was good, but based on the reviews I saw, I expected a little more. Overall, the service provided is consistent with the price charged, but I believe we can improve regarding the friendliness of some of the staff.

Negative: - no Space for clothes or other stuff (had to put it on the floor) - air conditioning did not work in both rooms and windows cant be opened - no one (except 2 people) speaks english - no room service - pool closes very early and opens Late, cant be used if you are away during the day - prices are like Restaurant prices when its a hostel - dirty bedsheets, towels… - mold in the rooms - staff is not very Nice Most of the times - not allowed to eat your own food in the lobby - Bad lightning in the rooms (very dark), little lamps at the bed are not necessary at all cause they are so small - wifi did not work in the rooms, had to use mobile data all the time - small breakfast, not very Healthy, no bowls for cereal, coffee machine didnt work… - dirty furniture in the lobby - wristband is annoying and everybody knows all the time that you are staying at this hostel + sometimes didnt work - no kitchen for own use - need renovation - no possible area for any Sport activities and room is too Small for Even a workout positive: - a few nice staff members (slightly older server at the Restaurant) - felt safe - 24 Hour reception - Nice Look from the outside - able to Check in early

- most of the time the staff did not speak English -> communication was kind of hard - not enough space for luggage/ storing clothes in the double bedrooms - Air condition didn’t work - random substances on the bedsheets or towels - not a great variety of breakfast options (sometimes bowls for porridge, sometimes not…) - prices of the restaurant were quite high - no free events to connect with others - no cleaning service when you stay for about a week - pool closes very early (5pm) - no great kitchen (you have to buy meals in the restaurant) - restoration would be necessary (many storage racks are broken etc.) - Wi-Fi isn’t working in the bedrooms (only in the restaurant) - sometimes mold in the bedrooms - bad Lightning in the bedrooms - the key-bracelets were impractical as everybody can see on first sight that you’re staying in the hostel - no clean area for sport activities Positive: - I felt very safe (security in the entrance 24/7) - reception is open 24/7 - there is a pool - some people of the staff are nice - the location near the Christ station is very practical

The room was okay, but it lacked a mini-fridge and a closet to organize clothes... The restaurant and coworking area is sometimes rented out for external events, and guests cannot use the space...
