The location is very good. The staff is friendly. The lobby is clean. The negative aspects are that the standard rooms are very very small. The bathroom was not very clean. The drain smelled horrible.

I stayed at the Mecure in Rio last week. It is extremely well located on Copacabana beach. Sadly my room was probably the worst I have ever encountered. The rugs were coming apart, the bathroom stank of sewage and the shower tray covered in mold. The fridge seal looked like it should have had a health warning and the bed was coming apart at the seams. I was shocked to learn that there were 2 standards of rooms below mine! I would have rated this hotel even lower if it hadn’t been for the staff who were very understanding and helpful

A lot of mosquitos in the room, the bathroom was dirty, it was sand in the shower, and it looks like the towels where used. Got bit by mosquitos many times. Food is fancy. Why cant you have a normal burger or pizza. Make it easy and simple. Good location and breakfast was almost perfect. Make a scramble egg instead of scrambled soup.
