Fantastic location, but it has lost my trust

Fantastic location, great breakfast, nice & comfortable room... Honestly it could have been perfect. However, I left my charger plugged to the wall when I checked out (my bad). (Over the decades and countless times I've travelled, this has only happened to me 3 times and I always get my stuff back from the hotel). But this time, they have lost it. I even went back to the hotel and checked the room (it was still unoccupied that day) (the front desk staff & supervisor were nice enough to check as well). So unfortunately, it looks like the cleaning staff might have been dishonest. It's hard to disregard this. It's hard not to lose trust when something like this happens. And trust is paramount when it comes to accommodations. Frankly, I expected better from the ibis brand.

If you travel a lot, especially in Europe, you will see the quality & comfort is much better than here in Rio. This hotel has been renovated, nice design and style but not high quality and in some areas in the lobby, restaurant and the room the areas have been not fully renovated, just painted over. The bed is ok but not fully comfortable. Nice touch in the room is the fridge but unfortunately only 1 english tv channel, no spanish or italian channels. Absolutely worst is the quality of the coffee in the hotel, a total Disaster and coffee is so important when you start your day so please change it! The hotel is located in Botafogo, nice local area, just 2 minutes to metro station or 10 minutes to supermarket but the street where the hotel is located is pretty loud even when the room window is closed. The hotel staff is friendly but speak so little english, I dont understand, its Rio, the place to see from all cornes of the world :( You can walk to Copacabana but better take UBER which costs max 20 RS. The travel time to another beaches like Leblon is 15 minutes and to the airport about 30 minutes by car. If my feedback points will be really improved than I will come again.
