The apartment was not so clean, the floor was sticky. Very simple decoration, average shower.

Well Located, Reception and customer assistance needs more training

The position in the town is perfect and a lot of employees are very kind and helpful. We had a bad experience with miscommunication and wrong information and interpretation of rules and law. The room where we were staying had a big leak from the bathroom. We went to reception to show the problem and they gave us a second room. THe reception only told us to bring the keys back at check out. Nothing else was stated. We dried the floor and used the second room only to take a shower. The next morning the responsible comes to our first room saying we had to pay an extra night for using two rooms and the fee was for the cleaning. I go downstairs to talk to reception and they made up a story saying me and my girlfriend had a fight and asked to stay in two different rooms to sleep. I don't know if they use this as an excuse to charge customers more if it was just miscommunication or both. After 2 hours explaining to the responsible I would not pay extra money because no one told us what to do with the 2 rooms. THere was no retention or bad intention from our side but reception kept saying we were behaving in bad faith and so on. I had to call my lawyer to check consumers' law about clear communication and the right of no surprise to show reception they were wrong. After they didn't want to accept my decision of not paying I asked them to call the police and verify the whole situation. They refused. Finally the manager came ( who was in the office next to the reception and could have heard everything and intervene earlier) and asked if there was a problem and when I was leaving. I said yes and that I would leave the same day. He said ok, you can leave and you don't have to pay extra. I paid more then 100 Euros to have 2 rooms with leaking showers, being awaken in the morning by the responsible asking me to pay extra. Spent 2 hours to talk to someone who didn't want to listen and on top of that I couldn't event enjoy breakfast. Worst experience ever and a great welcome to Rio.

Bathroom (both sink and shower) without liquid soap. When I woke up a cockroach was lying upside down near the bed, still alive (I found it was better not to think what she was doing the whole night while I was sleeping).
