The location is great, convenient to both the Hauptbahnhof and the Bayreuth Festspielhaus, and the breakfast was wonderful. The room, however, is quite spartan; where is one supposed to put one's clothes? There is no dresser or anything at all to put one's clothes.

If you are looking for quaint Bavarian charm, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for (comparatively) economical housing, don’t let the austere exterior fool you. Attentive service, clean and comfortable room and shower, decent breakfast… and literally minutes by foot from the Festspielehaus, train station, and old town.

250 Euro for a 9 sqm room without breakfast is even during Wagner Festival too much

Last minute booked due to business in the area, I don’t normally stay in an Ibis budget but this hotel is of a high standard, equally as good as a standard Ibis hotel. Clean and modern either a nice bar area and friendly and welcoming staff at check in and at the bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I only have one concern, the AC was not blowing cold air, I reported the issue, the hotel front desk employee stopped by the room was unable to fix it, we had to sleep a bit uncomfortable because of the extreme heat and only cool air.

The entrance and the room were looking good and cleaned. The bathroom was clean and with enough organization possibilities. Everything was working fine in it. However, there was only one blanket and the pillows were without enough filling. Moreover, the air conditioning was not working and it was way too warm in the room. It made the sleeping experience unpleasant.

Everything was good. Surprisingly, for this chain of hotels, they went too cheap on the amenities: - There was no soap/shower gel in the shower, and we had to exit the shower to get some soap at the sink in the process of showering. Putting a bottle of shower gel in the shower should be a standard. - I understand that a budget hotel may not have a hair dryer in rooms, but requiring a 10 EUR deposit for borrowing one at the reception sounds weird for a respectable hotel chain.
