Stayed in a room category I didn´t choose in a hotel I didn´t book

Probably this review should be rather given to the NH hotel but as this is the only survey I received, I´ll leave it here, even though (most of) it is probably not your fault: I did not book the Novotel, I´ve booked the NH hotel but once arriving at the NH hotel, I´ve been informed that due to overbooking I´ve been re-booked into the Novotel. The re-booking itself is already very disappointing but not receiving any communication from either the NH hotel nor you about this change is unacceptable. Additionally, the room I´ve been given (room 106, which is for people with a handicap) was not comparable with the one originally booked, however the pricing was still the same. A room change was not possible as you were fully booked as well. While I understand that you cannot do anything in this case, for me as a customer it is very frustrating and unacceptable. Next to me at the reception was someone waiting for their room for more than 20 minutes just to find out that the hotel missed out on the reservation (for whatever reason) so she had to be rebooked to another hotel as well. The combination of those circumstances and my experiences made a very bad impression to me so my experience within the first hour was already not good at all. I explicitly want to emphasize that the staff at the reception tried to support but they simply did not have options to handle things differently. It also felt like they were short-staffed but this also could have been to me being their in the rush-hour. The staff is excluded from my overall bad experience, they were friendly but limited in their options. The breakfast was good and did meet the expectations. In short, I was overall very dissatisfied due to the circumstance of being re-booked to another hotel without any information and then received a room I definitively would not have chosen without any options to change something.

Almost 100% satisfied. If it wasn't for the Bar manager who acted rude one of the 13 evenings, I stayed at the Hotel.

one little complaint was the bathroom, because the shower water go outside of. then all the floor goes wet.

Had plumbing related issue with shower and extension..shud have been checked before check in.. Also room service person did not throw away coffee sugar sachets why why.. was it to highlight to me that it was not there job.. ?????…overall quality of room was very average and not value for money.. lots of scratches in room and in table.. !!!!! Expected Novotel brand of room and hotel to be more exclusive..
