Convenient location....chaotic foyer and check in. Great location and facilities (Gym, restaurant bar)...however first impressions matter. Call me if you want detail son grunular level stuff ups at check -in. Main problems: - auto check in machines dont work..frustrating that you have all thsi technology but when a name is entered (as asked)..computer says it cant find a record - professionalism of staff is lacking. Lots of people in foyer (just off flights). Thsi interaction is critical in forming a first impression. Staff were not working together..one would direct people one way..another would cut off their colleague and direct another way. In a nutshell -it was "ibis level" staff training and competence...which is jarring when the guest wants "novotel level" or higher. I blame thsi on the hotel manager. I've now experienced this both times I've stayed - the general manager would be very aware...and hasn't fixed it

The hotel was very new and modern and close proximity to the airport. We booked a runway view room and upon check in they confirmed this room type but we had a view of maintenance yards and no runway (room 913). We then went to reception and requested to be moved considering we had booked and paid for a runway room. They were very accommodating and moved us to a room with the view (room 910). However I’m unsure why we weren’t give the room initially and had we not requested to be moved, we would have been left in a non-runway view room, yet paid a premium to have it.

I never write feedback, but feel compelled this time. Disappointed on 2 fronts. Booked a Superior Queen. When arrived our room had a double bed, even though computer at front desk was telling staff it was a queen. It was a tiny bed. When we asked at reception, they did kindly moveus to what was supposed to be an upgraded King room, and it was actually 2 singles. Both rooms incorrect on system. The girl helping offered to move again but we left it. Then at restaurant there was long queue to get in, poorly organised. Finally seated and staff member clearly untrained as didn’t even know what a champagne was. Did apologise and said because she didn’t drink she just wasn’t sure. We ordered ragu pizza and king prawn pasta. Barely any ragu, maybe 4 tiny pieces of meat, and for the pasta there were 2 prawns cooked and sitting on top. They were not peeled so had to peel ourselves but no bowl or water provided. Amount of prawn meat left very little for $45. Overall value of restaurant not good, and staff poorly trained. We were disappointed as my wife had stated previously and had a very good experience at the restaurant. Overall disappointing that we paid over $330 for that experience.
