No water provided in the room and the reception sends you to the restaurant to buy a bottle of water! Cost savings instead of looking after ( platinum ) Accor customers. Not good enough ! Rooms toward the street very loud ! Will probably go back to Novotel in Preston

While I appreciate your loyalty - I assure the customer service is our number priority, and we thrive for. In regards to the water, we do have the complimentary filter in the ground level of the hotel with hot / cold water - as part of the Environemtal sustainability Governance, we are completely eliminating single use plastics and water bottle is one of them. However, I have taken note of your feedback to source the alternative and thank you once again for sharing. My apologies once again and we look forward to welcoming you back. NOTHING Electrical WORKS & no Accountability

Lovely Place. Booked an apartment. My family stay (due to home renovations) ended after fury of 5 x days. Th king bed was not changed to twin singles as requested prior to my arrival and the staff handed me at reception 3 x sheets and 2 x towels in my arms to make up the sofa bed. I asked for a blanket also, but the staff didn't seem to understand so I gave up and used what I was given at reception. Electronic cards were replaced daily resulting in staff NOT letting my adult Special needs son into the room in my absense after calling and verifying he had photo Identification, confusing him and upsetting me having to leave work to accomodate his entry after being there 3 x days already. Fellow customers would openly discuss the "Card Issue" on the elevator. The bedroom TV didn't work except for the final night with just Foxtel. The cooking hotplate didn't work in 2 x rooms therefore moving in total of 3 x times in 5 nights. After the second & third night I said to the manger "Surely dinner is on you tonight," to the response of "I can not authorise that." The whole point of an apartment is cooking & clothes washing home facilities ! The Mantra offer room service but could not help by the 3rd night of no hotplate working. In addition the washing/dryer machine runs its cycle for 4 and a half hours, at which point the clothes are still quite wet. I demonstrated this with the manager and was told its never happened before. I also demonstrated just with the Dry cycle only, that it kicks in a full 4 and a half hour wash/dry cycle again. (the same in all 3 x rooms) I had one lot of clothes in total of 18 hours in the machine. But that's not all, in the THIRD room in 5 x nights the clothes finally dried at the completion of another 4 & a half hours cycle. The final upset came when I was telephoned to pay the next bill, as our stay extension was considered a new booking..(fair enough), I advised I would try and come back within the hour or I will finalize the bill by dinner time that same day. I called back to confirm the evening payment = 2 x telephone calls that morning. My son telephoned me about 3 x hours later saying a man came into the room asking him for money ! To be clear, my son was alone and extremely upset as was I. I headed back to Mantra immediatley and told the manager we will be checking out tonight and when I return to have a quiet place for a meeting and that i was furious. Speaking to the manager, instead of a quiet place, we were in the main foyer to which I basically said "How dare you enter a room, he responded with "they didn't know anyone was there, further conversation entailed and I went to settle the bill and guess what? They had already debited the amount. ! In summary, our family experience was dreadful, unaccommodating and unsafe. I am so very disappointed in the Mantra E.. NO accountability and also still paid FULL PRICE in light of everything wrong. My son is frightened now for security moving forward. No consideration either for disability. The manager seemed to have no authority but had manners A beautiful looking place, beds comfortable
