Arrived early on a Saturday morning and the hotel were always kind enough to store our bags for us while we potted round Rio and travelled across Brazil. Check-in was terribly painful and if there was a big queue, you could be there for a while! The lifts were also interesting involving a lengthy wait and only taking you to certain floors )one lift only road to the top floor! - Tip more lifts can be found round by the ground floor toilet area) Rooms were comfortable, but the bathroom area had sharp corners while entering the shower that caught me off guard. We ordered from the 24 hour room service late one evening, only to be called 45 minutes later, to be informed our order wasn't available which was disappointing. On the positive side the rooms were nice and clean and the location was great on Copacabana Beach. They were great pool parties on the top floor bar on the evenings we were there and the food was okay in the restaurant for breakfast, although they did run out on both of Bowles on frequent occasions.

The hotel is good. I stayed there several times. However, this last time the receptionist told me I had not food or water included, but my company paid for it, I only realised when I check out other receptionist told me I did not consume the allowance my company paid, it is not fair since I had to pay for food and water outside the hotel from my pocket, when all this was already paid by my company. Also during check-in the receptionist asked me to pay for my stay when was already paid for my company she was reluctant to understand and at the end she called and accepted was already paid. It is a very bad experience coming from a hotel where I stayed several times...

The hotel is very well located near the beach, and the staff is friendly, however the building is not well maintained. During a 3 day stay, the elevators to the roof deck pool broke down at two different times, the key card had to be reset twice, the walls are very thin and the bed was not very comfortable. Lots of little bugs in the bathroom. Plan for at least 5 minutes to get out of the hotel when trying to use an elevator. The breakfast was excellent.

I recently stayed at Novotel Leme and had a mixed experience. The reception area is colourful, clean, and welcoming, giving a great first impression. Staff were friendly and the check-in process was smooth. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which offered a generous selection of fresh fruit, sorbet, and a nice variety of options—definitely a strong point for the hotel. However, for a 4-star property, several areas fell noticeably short of the expected standard. The room is outdated and in need of renovation to feel more modern and comfortable. The bathroom amenities could be improved as well—handwash would be much more suitable than bar soap, and body wash should be provided as part of the standard toiletries. Additionally, the towels were worn and really need to be replaced to match a 4-star experience. Overall, while the hotel has a good location and welcoming common areas, the rooms require significant updating and better attention to detail to truly meet the level of comfort and quality associated with a 4-star stay. With some improvements, it has the potential to be an excellent option, but at the moment it does not fully meet that standard.
