good honest room for the price,very clean, excellent location near the beach, the breakfast was very poor , untrained staff , and ,....at dinner....I FOUND SOME PIGS TROTTER PHALANX IN MY " PORK RIBS "....IN THEIR RESTAURANT !!!!! NEVER AGAIN !

Good location, cleanliness and shower quality lacking

The floor of the room was not entirely clean and water pressure of the shower was super bad, only very hot water had good pressure, making the shower an ordeal. Location was very good and the terrace where the bar and pool are located had a great view.

Disappointing

Stayed in three hotels as part of a tour and this was our least favourite. I'd read some reviews beforehand so was prepared but we were still very disappointed. The location of the hotel is a great, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach and there are restaurants, cafes and a supermarket within easy walking distance. The view from the gym and pool areas are also fantastic! Check in was totally chaotic, no proper queue, people pushing in, jostling etc and it took ages just to be given the key (we had prepaid). As a family of four we had booked two rooms - these were 4 floors apart which isn't ideal. Getting to and from the bedrooms was tricky as the lifts are very slow and busy and it could take 10 minutes to get a lift , keycards were needed to access most floors and these would sometimes stop working meaning that you were unable to access the correct floor. Very frustrating ! A couple of times we gave up on the lifts and took the stairs - these were not very salubrious and the doorways at each floor were often blocked with bags of laundry/trays of food. The rooms were clean and bright and showers were good. Towels were very old and thin. The pool was very small and the bar area was very loud and busy every time we went up so we didn't end up using this. Breakfast - food was fine but it was always totally chaotic up there and not enough seats. All in all an OK hotel but definitely feels more like a hostel.

Poor time to check in despite only ones in reception. Room stank of damp and we were given twin beds despite asking for a double. Towels were not clean and really thin awful material Shower was crap Noisy room given the neighbours and next to a lift. Breakfast the food is alright but it's chaos with not enough space for a buffet. Not 4* luxury style hotel at all, not even close to value for money. We sadly regret choosing this option for our first and maybe only time in Rio, it really let us down and we spent a lot of money on it and booked direct to help novotel than pay commission etc, regret it all now.
