i am a gold member accor. I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at Ibis Styles BSD, check-in on October 25, 2024, and check-out on October 27, 2024, rooms 607 and 609. On the evening of the 26th, around 9:50 PM, I approached the restaurant staff to order a birthday cake for the morning of the 27th because it was my husband’s birthday. This was our first time celebrating his birthday away from home, just the four of us: me, our two children, and my husband. I thought I would surprise him with the cake I ordered from Ibis Styles BSD. After placing the order, the restaurant staff asked if we wanted to celebrate with just family or include others. I requested it to be just family, thinking it would be a perfect, simple, but happy celebration. On the morning of October 27, wanting to surprise my husband, I waited for him in the bathroom to call the restaurant and follow up on the cake order. Around 8 AM, I called from the room to check if the birthday cake was ready. The restaurant confirmed it was ready. On the morning of the 27th, I checked out of the hotel and planned to celebrate first at the restaurant with the cake. When I arrived at the restaurant, I asked them to bring out the cake. Five minutes passed, then ten, then fifteen, but it still hadn’t arrived. I had to leave soon as my family in Jakarta was waiting for breakfast. I approached the restaurant staff to ask why the cake hadn’t come yet. They said the cake was still frozen. I replied that it was okay, as cakes are usually kept in the freezer to stay fresh. Finally, they brought out a piece of cake, and to my surprise, the cake I had waited for almost half an hour was just a small piece that looked like a welcome cake. Feeling frustrated and disappointed, I took the cake anyway and had a brief celebration by blowing out the candles and eating a little to mark my husband’s birthday. At 4:27 PM, I received a call from the duty manager of Ibis Styles BSD, Ms. Anggun, who confirmed the incident that morning. She only offered a birthday cake corresponding to the voucher I claimed, asking where it should be sent or if I wanted to return the voucher for future use. This was overly polite but did not address the loss of my husband’s happy moment, as everything was considered resolved. Please value your guests, no matter how small their requests may seem. While the hotel and restaurant may consider my husband’s birthday not their concern, for us, it meant a lot. Please pay more attention to these matters, as our request was not excessive but in line with the benefits of our Accor membership. Thank you.

My go-to hotel in BSD. I am an Accor Plus Member and I work in an online travel company. I like how new the hotel is. However there are several improvements I hope the hotel can improve. - Sound proofing can be better. it's extremely noisy as the walls are thin. one way to quickly fix this is to close the gaps between the door and frame. the main room door has big gaps. - Soap dispenser is subpar. I have stayed several times, some of the dispenser won't work. Will be good to also provide shampoo. - Breakfast selection can be more if possible. not an important one, but the range doesn't change when I. there for a week.
