Everyone at the fairmont was extremely accommodating to make our stay very pleasant. Juan went above and beyond his job to make sure our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. I loved the hotel. The location is good, the hotel itself has an amazing design, really well adapted to Rio. The fitness room is massive, pool is very nice. Breakfast is outstanding with an amazing view. The only thing in which I was disappointed is the view from my room. Paying an extra significant amount to have a sea view, I was expecting something a bit more breathtaking. When I complained about it, I don’t think that the staff was understanding enough and was trying more to upsell me a better room than really help me with my problem.

Hi there, My name is Taras M. and I recently stayed in room 1036 at the Fairmont Copacabana in Rio, Brazil. I had checked out on March 15th and left 5 or 6 dress shirts hanging in the closet. Can you please either ship these to 600 queens Quay W, Toronto, ON M5V3N3, Canada, ship them to the Fairmont in Toronto Canada, or release them to Gary Grant who is currently staying at the hotel. Concierges Maurice and Leonel were exceptional! The spa was unbelievable with Livia the therapist and Rachel (I think) wonderful assistant at the front desk. Room view and poolside view were spectacular. Poolside staff were exceptional and Adriana at check-in was efficient and helpful.

We ordered 2 gin & tonics & 1/2 hour later got 1! We were very surprised to get a disabled room as we are perfectly fit. There was only 1 seat on the balcony, but this was very quickly rectified. On the plus side PATRICIA on reception was very efficient and extremely helpful .

The accomodation and the food were wonderful! The staff in the spa are great, I was impressed with the space and with the service. Yet, the hotel staff in general is not so great, especially in the restaurant.

Stayed twice at the resort and was not that impressed. Booked a suite which turned out to not be any different to a regular room just had a disabled toilet. In general, the reception staff were not very accommodating but the rest of the staff were nice. The food was the biggest let down.

Dear Fairmont Rio, we are really disappointed from our last experience stayed at your hotel.As we are designers , architects and business owners ....we are clients for 5 stars hotels and travel lovers .... .we took 20 hours flight from middle east to experience your new renovated hotel in rio but we failed.design wise is perfectly done ......but the service was very terrible ..........first my suite wasn't cleaned in proper way ....only they were cleaning the bed and bathroom and the rest of the suite was disaster ....the room service food was the worst .....and the reception guys at the six floor was so rude ,unprofessional and they don't speak the hotel welcoming language ..we spent the check in and check out by fighting and missunderstanding .....the only thing was great in our stay the reception guy at the gold lounge fourth floor and the team there ...very well welcoming and sweet....thank you Fairmont hotel but you are way far from the satisfaction experience .....Good luck

I arrived to the hotel at 10am after an overnight flight from Europe. My assistant had already pre warned your hotel I would be wanting an early check in. Despite my asking every half hour, I was not given a room until after 3 pm. I understand the hotel was busy but there were plenty of exits in the morning and it does not take 5 hours to get a room ready, if there is the willingness to treat a customer appropriately. You simply, clearly, did not care so I will be defaulting back to the Fasano or Emiliano, which have much better service
