We had requested a baby cot through email three months prior to our arrival. Upon arrival we were told there are only 3 baby cots for over 100 rooms, and there were none available at the moment. If lucky, we would have one the next day. We didn't as much as get an apology. Also, the thermostat had a malfunction one night, the room got very hot and the air conditioning continued on hot for hours after we have turned it off.

My stay was overall okay, but there are a couple of areas that could be improved. Housekeeping rang the doorbell at around 10 a.m., which woke me up. I understand this is a standard time for cleaning, especially since I didn’t put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, but the approach felt unnecessarily disruptive. A better practice would be to knock first and only proceed if there’s no response, rather than using the doorbell immediately. I also noticed staff gathered in the parking area for what seemed like a meeting or break, sitting on crates and improvised seating. This gave a rather unprofessional impression, as it looked like there isn’t a proper designated space for staff activities, even though it was a Saturday afternoon. I took the liberty to take a picture, and this could be shared with the management to look into a solution. Overall, the stay wasn’t bad, but improving these operational and organizational details would make the experience feel more polished.

It is the accommodation with everything you need. Clean, quiet, functional with the great personnel who are very helpful and accessible. The nice touch is yoga mat in the room. :-)

I visit this IBIS hotel on a regular basis. It is a very comfortable warming hotel with a nice ambiance and very friendly staff, which is always there to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is located in western part of Bucharest in between metro stations Petrache Poenaru and Grozavești providing easy access to all parts of the city. From the airport, depending on traffic, it takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the hotel by taxi. In the morning, a rich continental breakfast is offered with lots of different breads, yoghurts and local pastries and on mondays they offer a freshly made omelette as well. In the evening dinner is served and there is a limited selection of dishes to choose from. The rooms are generally spatious with comfortable beds and a small bathroom. There is no kettle available and therefore also no tea or coffee in the room. There is a vending machine in the lobby and at the bar you canal always order coffee or tea to take to your room. Apart from the points above there are some things you may want to consider when staying at the hotel: First and foremost: in Romania, the average room temperature is around 24 degrees celsius and therefore the temperature in the rooms can also be similar. Airco operation is limited due to central settings but it can be switched off and a window can be opened. Then, in the rooms, the bedside tables are hanging on the wall, just as some lights and can be easily adjustable. Although that's a positive, the downside is that they tend to be very loose and need to be handles carefully. When showering one has to be careful in order to avoid the bathroom getting completely wet. Finally there is the elevators. The hotel has two of them, and especially in the morning the wait time can be up to 15 minutes because of guests heading up and down and staff preparing to clean the rooms.
