Adagio access Freiburg

Nice beautiful and modern neighborhood, lovely and helpful staff. Very good rooms equipped with a small kitchen which is a huge advantage over other hotels. Very close to the Straßenbahn station.

I found the Adagio Access Freiburg apartment to have an equipped kitchen, good climate control, comfortable bedding and furniture, and well-designed bathroom. The property looks modern and updated. The front desk provided prompt check in, responded to inquiries, and offered good customer service.

I like the apartment set up with fridge, stove and microwave. The dishes and silverware were provided, which is great. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is pretty big. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What was not so great was that room cleaning was only done 1x per week. After mine was done I saw that towels had been changed but not the bedding and the bathroom floor had not been mopped. There are some things to improve and I am sure the staff will do that.

The hotel is newly opened and this still shows in multiple ways. Firstly, the garage does not have enough parking spots for the number of guests. This has never happened to me before. We were not the first guests to learn about that upon arrival, and the whole block was filled with awkwardly parked cars. Adding to this issue is that the establishments around the hotel seem to have calculated their parking spot numbers the same way. Construction sites, vehicles and equipment further complicate the parking situation. Next, while the room itself was clean and spacious, it was missing a proper desk, with the small table at breast height not able to fit a laptop and a paper notebook at the same time. In the bathroom, the soap dispensers were empty, and the shower door sealing was improperly installed, leading to water leaking into the bathroom from below the door hinge. With adults paying close attention to the water flow, this might still be controllable, but in a room offered to families, children might completely flood the bathroom within five minutes of showering. Lastly, we were unpleasantly surprised by the complete lack of amenities, which are neither available in the bathroom, nor can they be bought at the shop in the hotel. Things like shower gel, soap, toothpaste and maybe even a toothbrush should at least be obtainable within the hotel. The receptionist however explained to me that the hotel is following a "budget" style approach, and does not provide any amenities. The room price does not reflect this, for a service less than at ibis, we had to pay at least twice the amount of money. I hope the hotel figures out its position on the price/performance ladder soon.
