the bathroom of our room did not flow correctly and was a little smelly (like a light sewage smell). over all, the stay was nice and staff very welcoming. thank you

It leaves a lot to be desired except for location

It's a great location; across from the train and major tram station. But as a place to stay, it leaves a lot to be desired. The biggest problem was the inadequate hotel infrastructure. Taking a shower in the morning meant suffering through constant temperature fluctuations, from burning hot to ice cold and everything in between. On two very cold nights, the room remained freezing even though the thermostat was set to the highest. We had to get a space heater and extra blankets. I shared the room with my daughter, and in order to charge 2 phones we had to unplug the tv because the room only had 1 extra outlet. To charge 2 phones and power the space heater, we also had to unplug a lamp. Besides the hotel infrastructure, the staff was completely unhelpful. To get the extra blankets and space heater at midnight, I had to go down to the lobby twice to carry them up. When asked for ice so my daughter could ice her sprained ankle, we were told to call the kitchen ourselves, or go to the bar, things that the front desk had to do after I tried unsuccessfully first. We'll be back in Freiberg because my son lives there, but I don't plan on staying at the Novotel again.

On the coldest nights, we were there even the heat turned to the highest was not adequate to warm the room and we had to get both a space heater and extra blankets. Taking a shower in the morning constant changing of temperature from ice cold to boiling hot. When asked for some thing, the staffs first response was do it yourself. When I asked for directions to a supermarket, the desk clerk was unwilling to mark up a map and give it to me until I specifically asked her to do so, and even then she was reluctant.

a 2 night stay visiting our companies local facility. Check in, room and restaurant were up to the usual high standard. We used the bar once and services was great. Only negative and its a small one, is the car parking was not explained so didn't know i needed to validate the Car Reg in their system so menat a bit of faff on the first morning trying to exit
