I didn't feel empathy and hospitality, but I felt nervousness. Receptionist was not good to us. (I'm not going to say "hostility") room heating didn't work. car parking is a little expensive. breakfast was ok.

Hotel is located excellently close to the center of Freiburg. Breakfast was awesome, pancake machine for the kids and humus and soy yogurt for me and much more. Sauna department is ok, but kids are not allowed. They have paid parking below but there are no charging points for e-cars, we found one close by. Those two people who served us at the reception were not very welcoming which left not so nice feeling about it all. Stuff working at the restaurant for breakfast was very nice! Room was fine, I only would wish to have one blanket for each person instead of double blankets.

The hotel is in need of refurbishment. Whilst the rooms are generous in size, the beds, pillows, fixtures and fittings are not up to 4 star standard. The breakfast was poor for the price. Some staff pleasant but others rude and unwelcoming at check-in.
