Staff attention could be improved. Regarding housekeeping, although they came early in the morning, we requested that they return in about one hour, but this request was not respected and the room was not cleaned.

The hotel itself is nicely appointed and easy to find, and within a short distance of all the popular spots of Freiburg for tourists. It's also very family friendly, including elevators, large bathrooms, and within walking distance of a great park for the kids. The spare pull-out couch for my son was just right, and was pretty comfortable and set up when we arrived.

The location of the hotel was great as it is just a stone throw from the old town centre. However the room service was poor: water glasses were not replaced with new ones; soap was not topped up even though it was empty, it was already low when we got there. The worst part was that the room was very stuffy, it felt like the air-conditioning wasn’t working properly. I believe I would look into staying at other hotels else if I were to visit Freiburg again in the future.

Room was clean and a good size. It was warm when we were there and air conditioning worked well! Easy to walk to many points/restaurants in the city.

Everything was excellent except the AC was not working. The issue is that it works but way too weak. So it does not cool the room and since you can only open the one window halfway it was way too hot in the room. I asked if they could unlock the window so I could open it entirely but they couldn’t. It looks to me that the AC is too old and needs to be replaced. Otherwise everything was absolutely great.
