JO&JOE is a house open for all, a cool and caring social hub! For people travelling alone, in pairs or in groups, we offer an ideal and appropriately priced shared or private accommodation in Paris - Gentilly. As well as serving the best hot dogs in town and awesome cocktails, we also have a self-serving beer tap system! Located right in front of the biggest Parisian campus, the JO&JOE Paris-Gentilly is ideally located with the B line RER train that will take you directly to the center of Paris.

Located between the Porte d'Orléans and the Porte de Gentilly, a 5-minutes walk from the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris and 10-minutes from the Charlety Stadium. JO&JOE is located next to the RER B line which is directly connected to the center of Paris (20 minutes) and to Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport (45 minutes). Orly Airport is only at 35 minutes. The Tramway T3 is very close too.

i was a little bit holding back due to the reviews i read about bugs and some cleaning standarts but by the looks if it, certain measures have been taken and had a good experience in this hostel. great vibe downstairs, nice terrace, chilled people. i will probably come back next time i am in Paris. I expected the hostel to be good compared to the ones I’d stayed at in Paris, but dealing with bedbugs from the very first night changed everything. Although they were kind enough to refund the night I had paid for and upgrade my room, I feel there is still a lot of room for improvement.

The staff didn’t seem to be familiar with the hostel’s working procedures. I booked an early check-in, and if this service was no longer available, I believe the customer should have been informed in advance instead of finding out only after arriving at the hostel. There was also inconsistent information from different staff members regarding the early check-in time. Some told me it was 12 p.m., while others said 10 a.m., whereas the website states 11 a.m. They didn’t even check whether the payment had already been charged or not. Instead, it felt like they were simply trying to dismiss me and get the situation over with, rather than actually helping to clarify or resolve the issue. Although the refund was eventually processed after I repeatedly tried to communicate and resolve the situation, the whole experience made me feel as though I was being treated like an unreasonable customer for simply asking for clarification. Overall, there seems to be a lack of clear communication, coordination, and proper staff training. I was very disappointed with the experience, especially considering that this is a well-established hostel. The whole situation left me feeling very uncomfortable and gave me a very negative impression of the hostel.

Booked a private cabin room for extra privacy. The room was generally quiet, except for a few nights when events or parties on the ground floor/open area created loud noise that could be heard clearly even with the windows closed. Additionally, the main shared room (which connects four cabin rooms) was quite dark. The motion-sensor light had a noticeable delay when entering the main room or stepping out of the cabin. Regarding the amenities, the cleanliness could be improved. During my week-long stay, I only saw the shared toilets and bathrooms cleaned once. There was an unpleasant smell in the showers, suggesting they weren't cleaned thoroughly, and some stalls lacked the complimentary body wash. On a positive note, I really liked that the shower stalls had a functional wet and dry separation. Availed of the buffet breakfast, which offered a balanced selection of bread, eggs, fruit, cucumber, cereal, jam, juice, and coffee. However, the menu was exactly the same every day.

Good atmosphere, nice kitchen and common areas. Location okay and staff helpful. However big big big issue with bedbugs. We got moved to a different room and I still saw bedbugs and got bitten. Unfortunately i won't come back as this issue has been going on for months if not more and nothing is done about it (such as changing the wooden bed frames which are a bedbug paradise, for another material).

It was a great experience; the service was very efficient, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The only reason I’m giving it a 9 is that other hostels I’ve visited don’t charge for towels, whereas there you have to pay 4 euros.

I would not recommendate to stay at big dorm. You don't feel safe and there is a lot of noice. Therefore location is good, Rer is nearby and shops also. Check possibilities to big private rooms and smaller dorms. I had travellers from Australia who talked all night and party people.
