Tired, run down. Fixtures and fittings felt loose and wonky. I stayed on floor 7 rm 708. FYI this has views down to the bin area. At night the lights will be bright if anyone goes to the bins so make sure you fully shut any gaps in the curtains. I stayed there from July 8 - July 11 2024. The phone didn’t work to call reception. Few staff so queuing at reception (due to non working phone) was long. Some staff very friendly and helpful but others looked and sounded like they didn’t want to be there. I had planned to eat in the restaurant but changed my mind considering the smell of stagnant water in the lobby and dusty rooms. No ironing board provided when I asked to borrow an iron. Cheap nasty thin toilet paper, which we had to ration as housekeeping didn’t provide extra despite being visibly low . Complimentary bottle of water in fridge, don’t make the mistake of leaving it out on the side half used else housekeeping will throw it out. Water proof material protector was like a sheet of plastic. Not breathable, uncomfortable feeling through the sheets and made me feel sweaty during the night. Absolutely ripped off considering it’s meant to be a 4 start hotel. Not a pleasant experience at all. It was useful to able to get Netflix through the TV.

I had a dinner in the hotel restaurant on the evening of June 18. I asked that the bill be added to my room account. On checking out the next day, I noticed that it had not been charged and I asked that the bill be updated for this cost. The hotel has my credit card details and I had authorised that the full bill could be deducted. I left my bag with the hotel as I was to return at 6:30pm for a booked taxi. In the afternoon, I got a call from the reception advising that they would not give back my bag unless I paid the dinner bill of EUR 39. I find this unacceptable customer service. I am a Diamond Accor member and I spend circa EUR 20k on hotel travel per year. with Accor. My Accor account has the credit card details. I returned to the hotel at 6:30pm and I paid the EUR 39. There was no apology from the front desk for this mess. I want a reply from the hotel manager explaining the lack of customer service. If not, I will ask my employee Credit Agricole to remove this hotel from their perference list.
