First appearance was a building site was not told of any building works. Room smelled of drains and sometimes in the corridor we had no towels and had to ask for them. The bar was not open Friday Saturday or Sunday which we were unaware of with no other drinking establishments nearby we asked for drinks at the reception which we were ignored even the fridge in reception was empty Friday to Monday. We paid nearly 40 euros per day for breakfast and there was never hardly anything in the hotel section and when asking staff for some was told it would be stocked in 7 minutes, after waiting 40 minutes nothing arrived so had no breakfast at all on two of the days and not much on the other two. We are very disappointed with our stay and would definitely think twice about staying at mercure again. The reception lady said she would tell manager but didn't get an email only this one. Was talking to other guests and they had same problems. Thanks

We arrived late afternoon & were given a room at the end of the second floor. There was building work & scaffolding outside, but that didn’t really affect us. Upon entering our room there was a musty smell, we thought it may be because it’s not been used for a while & opened the window to let fresh air in. Unfortunately the smell didn’t disappear, we thought it may be the carpet or a leaky bathroom. The carpet in the corridor also seemed to have an odour. We were keen to go out & explore, on our return the hotel was very busy, due to the big rugby event we were attending. We were told we couldn’t get drinks as the bar was closed & would be closed all weekend! The breakfast was nice to be fair, plenty choice & food was tasty. Coffee machines were great, but these were inaccessible in the evening. To top off an unimpressed stay, we were made to pay 51 euros for City Tax, even though we’d paid resort fees with the booking agent.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was always someone there if we needed them. The room was large and very comfortable. The provision of chilled water on the landing was an excellent facility. If we were looking for a hotel then we would certainly consider the Mercure. Only minor fault was with the in-room fridge which didn't work.

Rooms fine , clean and comfortable. We had 3 rooms on the privilege floor which we found quiet.Breakfast just ok. Location worked for us but you need to make use of taxis or walk some way to the metro / rer lines.
