We had a wonderful stay at the Mercure in Villeneuve-Loubet. The chambre privilège was comfortable and had an amazing view on the sea. The food from the restaurant was delicious also. The only down side was that the toilet flusher was poorly attached and kept falling out of the wall fixture. Although reported, it was not fixed during our stay. Also, on the morning of our departure, on two occasions between 9:30 and 10:30, someone (presumably a staff member) just opened the door to our room as we were getting our affairs in order for check-out, which we did not appreciate. A final remark: throughout our stay, children were using the pool, which is fine of course, but some were jumping, splashing and diving and pool étiquette was not enforced by parents or hotel staff. It definitely took away from the relaxing atmosphere we were looking forward to enjoying. It would be a good idea to make sure pool rules are posted for customers and enforced by staff so people of all ages may enjoy the pool in peaceful coexistence.

We arrived very late due to a delay. We were well greeted the check-in process as fast. Our room was ready. The air-conditioning was cold. Every staff member we encounter was polite, respectful, and eager to help the staff at the restaurant was very funny and very attentive. The pool and beach were not crowded. The view was incredible.

We booked five nights in a privilege beach front, sea view with sunbeds room in this small 48 bedroom hotel. Property sits back off the road and is made up of two buildings. Both have corridors that really could be made more inviting as they are very plain and gives the feeling of a tired and uninviting hotel. However, the room was nice and being able to sit and sunbathe outside was the big gain (we had researched this to make sure this would happen). Upstairs the restaurant and pool area is lovely and generally it was easy to find a couple of beds, but please provide a bin to put the used towels into as it leads to people leaving towels on beds and it is not clear which beds are available or not. Breakfast was decent, but no one advertised that you can order omelettes and fried eggs. We noticed others getting omelettes and ordering was no problem but not advertised explicitly. We only had dinner one night and to be honest we were not overly impressed. Black bun pulled beef burger was dried out and not good and the chunky fries were over done and brick hard. We did enjoy our stay as the weather was excellent, so we were able to use the room, garden and pool to sunbathe but very glad we did not book a standard room as they had little view and the corridors made the whole thing look rather negative.

All very good - especially the friendly, helpful staff - except breakfast. Despite a wide selection of food, much of it was below the expected standard eg fruit salad often tinned or just apple, bacon/sausages sometimes barely cooked. This was odd, as the restaurant was very good in the evening.

Our 3rd stay at Mercure Villeneuve Loubet plage was ok, and we love the location but there were a few things we were not happy about . The room badly needs to have an update in decoration and an extractor fan should be fitted in the toilet and bathroom. Storage space was limited, and we also found a cockroach near the kitchen area . There was glass found in the pool which a fellow guest cut their foot on, and we were asked to vacate the pool area early one evening without prior notice due to a private party booking the whole area. This year , we also found the pool service to be quite slow due to preference given to Syracuse guests

The first room there was cleaning undone, so they swapped to the room next to us which is ok. Then I could not dial the phone, no cannot ask for any service. Quite a lot of mosquitoes so it annoyed us so much. It's average.
